I’ve never understood picking a side in this battle. Most of the recent releases don’t even come out in the same year as the other title. Assuming you’re not too broke to afford one of each console, there’s very little preventing you from enjoying both other than fanboyism.

I saw it with my fiance (who has played every Hitman game at least twice) and our friends at a sneak preview on Thursday. He kept pointing out the homages to promo images from the games. It was enjoyable shut-your-brain-off-action and Rupert Friend did a very good job playing 47.

Credit where credit is due, that version of Pac-man is pretty clearly based on the 3D-prerendered-sprite version of the character from Pac-Mania: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pac-Mania So it’s not just some freaky hybrid Pac-man that the movie made up.
