@Haywood Jablomey is Cheese Slap backwards.: Remember the Ford Ka commercials that were totally controversial...cat beheading?? Ford had nothing to do with those commercials as the company that was making the videos was actually shooting a real commercial that Ford approved. Sometimes advertisers and viral

@tobythesandwich: You make no sense, are you blaming Toyota for getting off the hook and bragging it to everyone? I don't think thats the case, this was obviously some advertising company failing at a viral campagin of posting to blogs and social networking.

It really depends on if its a city, or rural police chase. Most police chases in the USA occur in the larger cities and their suburbs. The funny fact is that the Crown Vic P71 Interceptor is limited to around 120-125mph...not crazy fast. Most police chases actually end up with the perps crashing the car, or bailing

Yeah, the police do abuse their cars here. Maybe some of the driving styles that police use stateside need to change. They have curbs, and cobbled streets in Europe that would challenge any cars suspension. I actually think the Crown Vic should have been improved rather than shitcanned. Ford did have 20 years to try

Most departments only keep their cars for 3-5 years, if you look at the police auctions for used Interceptors they are all 2005+ models. No Police department, other than a really small town or county would be using anything from 1996 today. They have to drive the cars like they are diposable, because thats their job.

@Xander Crews: Yeah for some reason in NYC they use everything, a couple years ago they were using the Malibu for non chase cars.

Our cops, for some reason or another are still fixed on car designs from the 60's. There is no benefit to body-on-frame construction, other than cheaper repairs. Those repairs are only cheaper because most large departments have frame straighteners, and can do cheap patchwork to these relics. I think the Crown

@ImmaLion: rather inexpensive if you compare to a decent follow focus system...and they need a different setup for every single lens. The hose clamp with a handle works perfectly for me...and it only cost me $4

Yeah it wasn't one of the fastest production cars back in the day, but you have to remember that its a very high revving small V8. These cars weren't that light either at over 3000lbs, but hey, these were the dark ages of sports cars. They handles well, and would keep up to a Corvette of the same era.

When South Park did it, it wasn't much of an issue. Anyone who actually watches Top Gear knows that they make stereotypical slurs against everyone in the world including the stereotypes from their own country. In North America, this type of joke would not go over well, because we fear being considered a racist, yet

Another story focuses on how more than 300 people bought a used Chevrolet Cavalier last month. 25% have failed to start, 15% have broken electric windows/door locks, 10% are buring more coolant than gasoline, and the other 50% are soon to become recycled in the next 2-3 years. 75% of these owners will never buy a
