@MaWeiTao: I understand the arguement that the new Dual Clutch transmissions are quicker and more efficient, its sad that Ferrari doesn't offer a true manual for say 10k less. Enthusiests would still buy them, and save the difference.

Looks like they borrowed the ass end off the w126.

@geistkoenig: I actually liked this body style of Crapalier. They were very rare, and had lots of cargo room. A friend of mine's father had an '86 z24 convertible and we thought it was badass.

@robot-shmobot: I guess this guy is wearing out faster than his Grand Am.

@Spasticteapot: I was comparing with the Ranger when I bought it, but Ford had poor interest rates and the Ranger came less equipped. I Just A/C as an option. But the trucks come with better standard equipment in Canada.

@TrampaOnline: That Holden Maloo almost made it in the USA. I was at the 2009 NAIAS and Pontiac(on the chopping block) was advertising it as a vehicle coming in late '09. It never actually happened, but GM printed brochures about it, so the idea was entertained. I wish I still had those brochures!

@FormerlyTheGreatestDriver: You hit it right on the head. You wouldn't want a manual in a v8 large truck. You can tow more with an automatic and its not for performance. The Crown Vic...that would be funny in manual. The problem is the small and midsize cars that would be great to drive with stick. But they only

Biggest problem "DEALERS"

@solracer: The Miata is very high percentage of stick shift....not near 95% but closer to 80%. That was from a Mazda dealer I was talking to recently. The new models are actually selling about 50/50. But if you look for resale many many automatic Miatas are out there. The ones who bought manual transmissions are

@Rä¢inG73 - ain't nuthin' but a G73 thang: GM offers stick in the Camaro because the idea of a manual camaro looks and is pretty cool. Other than using them for pictures and autoshows, less than 5% actually get manual. Its a shame but baby boomers are fat, and lazy.

The sad fact is that most Americans are plain lazy, or refuse to learn something that they aren't comfortable doing. It's also a huge ego buster for a guy who stalls a manual for the first few times. After a month of driving stick, it becomes second nature and muscle memory takes over.

@jdoubleh: If the chicken tax was repealled, you could guarantee all our small and midsize pickups would be coming from Thailand. They have the largest market in the work for trucks and assemble trucks for every manufacturer. The Ford Ranger is already cheap, they have the tooling, the people and free electricty at

@sixt9coug loves his rimblow: Subaru has tried on a few Utes and never really had any success. America definitly wants body-on-frame true trucks. Honda was going to cancel the Ridgeline for poor sales, but then won truck of the year...so they kept it. I just wish Ford/Mazda redesigned the Ranger/B rather than

@Psiu! Puxa!: I love your Volvo 240! But I digress: If you get the Automatic, its pretty slow. But the Manual is pretty good, and you can rev the engine hard to pass most vehicles. It's not for racing, so I don't care. But the Dakota is a pig on gas, here in Canada gas is currently around $4.00US/Gallon

I bought a 2010 Mazda B-2300 here in Canada(not available in USA anymore)

Libyan Terrorists are rejoicing worldwide.

Arrrrrrr, We have new releases 28 Days before Blockbuster.

Part of me thinks this is cool, perhaps cooler if it had stayed a Ford drivetrain(Ranger Bronco II)

@obrut-2002: The reason that we get British shows ported over here, is because the television producers from the UK want to come to America and make some real money. They go from an audience of 60 to 340 million when they get into the North American market. Most Americans don't get British humor, as the popular shows
