No knock on those that do but you could not find two words more unappealing in a game to me than “anime” and “soulsborne”.

EPIC Store don’t fuck around when it comes to giving free games. There’s too much traffic at the moment to get it.
ask for a refund and buy it again.
It’s not Valve’s fault. Developers and publishers determine pricing on platforms like Steam. That’s why the reseller market is so important. It’s the only way to get competitive pricing on your platform of choice. Without it, you end up with PSN/XBL/eShop.
Steam prices can usually suck it. Green Man Gaming and Fanatical are almost always superior for better deals. Been a few years now since buying directly on Steam has been even remotely competitive.
Tales of Arise, $20.46
God of War, $25.49
Days Gone, 13.69
Elden Ring, 37.37 ($37.19 over on Fanatical)
Octopath Traveler,…
(No but seriously play Outer Wilds.)
Man, whatever. I don’t get the hype. Everyone kept telling me to play The Outer Wilds but it was so forgettable. The planets were boring, the gunplay was shallow, and the dialogue trees literally didn’t matter. Everyone said the plot twist would be amazing but I rolled my eyes into the Attlerock’s orbit when it turned…

GEX is back bay-beeeeeeeeee!!!
Back when I used twitter before lockdown I only followed artists and game devs, and this was one of the ones I followed that one day up and vanished from my timeline so I thought that the project was done or something. Really cool to see it crop up and even get to such a stage that it’s being published.
Yup! Did you get your year in review from Nintendo? Mine was “Sparks of Hope for 25 hours”, “Kirby for 9 hours”, “NES Online for a little bit”
Yeah but the switch is built on years of nintendo devices which fans will eat up. The steam deck is a brand new device that is all new and quite unique. That risk is why it should be commended. Valve is also not really a hardware company and the experiments that they have done have mostly been flops.
It’s moved around a ninth the number of units as the PS5 did this year so far, despite being only available for sale in one place, available for a shorter period of time during the year, having severe supply chain issues, being available in fewer markets worldwide, and being a fairly niche product that had a bunch of…
This is great and all, but you know the one thing I can do with pretty much all other consoles and competitors, including Nintendo Switch, that I can’t do with the Steam Deck?
I got my steam deck last week and one of the first games I played was Hexcells, so yeah, I didn’t buy it for its power!
Damn, I see what you did there...damn.
I can already see it, Steam Deck is great, but what we will really love is Steam Deck 2. It will get a couple of great quality of life upgrades, and we will all eagerly anticipate Steam Deck 3, but that will never come out.
I’m excited to get mine as it’s a Christmas present but it was an absolute nightmare to actually receive it. I had mine shipped to my business but FedEx misdelivered it and I had to open a case with them. Also contacted Steam support to tell them I hadn’t received it and they sent out another one to a FedEx Store for…
I got a Steam Deck and love it - lots of games, comfortable controls, and a bigger screen than the Switch.
I’ve been using mine non-stop since May. I pretty much quit playing PC games when my job went full remote 2 y;ears ago (I don’t like being in my office past work hours anymore), but the Deck makes it so hassle free and convenient.
