Can't we all just get along?

I’m kind of surprised Sony hasn’t come under antitrust scrutiny. They hold the dominant share of the console market yet they routinely pay devs/pubs to withhold content on competing platforms (Ghostwire: Tokyo, Deathloop, Forspoken, Final Fantasy, CoD DLC, Avengers DLC, etc). I’m not sure how that doesn’t qualify as a

This feels right on par for Geoff. No one outshines him or his Award Show. Only except for Hideo Kojima. With whom he fantasizes being best friends with.

Years ago, when Suzuki was selling cars, a small local dealership got the rights to them and started selling them at insane pricing.

Comparisons between the new one and the current. Especially the shiftstick.

I don’t know about the low overhead bit. You may not have to worry about staffing physical stores, but you need a larger call center presence. Also, delivering single cars to individuals is far costlier than delivering a dozen cars to a retail lot. Same with sending inspectors to people to evaluate the cars before

Babylon’s Fall absolutely owns it for most lazy cynical failure. ‘Here’s a boring ugly service game with almost no content for $60, suckers, trust us, we’ll update it later, now cough up for those micropayments on top of your $60.’ It failing as hard as it deserved is actually one of the best stories of 2022 (while

Thing is, this business should have been a total no-brainer money-maker. The used car market is ripe for a major roll-up. They could have been Carmax with much lower overhead (no need for large retail shops and lots of sales staff). The whole notion of buying and financing your car hassle-free online, getting it

The point was simplifying and branding an easier way to buy a used car. They probably thought it was a good time because Tesla broke the door down to online shopping and a showroom-less experience.

Alas, they engaged in a ton of shady practices and entered a historically volatile market.

The value proposition was to avoid having to deal with used car salesmen, shopping for a loan, visiting car lots. In 10 minutes on an iPhone, you can have a like new used car in your driveway in 5-7 days, registered, insured and financed. If you don’t like it, return it a week later.

I did it twice and it was a great

Like always the consumer gets...wait for it.....

Agreed on all counts. I’m not a twitch watcher so I can never relate. Saw the stuff about the abuse and truly hope she is out of her abusive relationship (assuming it wasn’t fabricated for views, which wouldn’t surprise me a bit) but tired of seeing an article about her on a routine basis.

Get that bag girl. This just proves once again,

Sure, most of the time however it is about making a meal so basic even someone with zero skill in a kitchen can slap it together with no loss of quality.

How hard is it to come up with a decent marinara?  Did nobody taste test this thing?

I imagine it would be like this.

Eight handfuls. Well, maybe ten. OK, fifteen. Twenty?

Aw man....I’d love to work in the same office as the Onion.

The Takeout shares an office with The Onion, Clickhole, The A.V. Club, and the tech/sales/marketing team that supports the sites.

This only raises more questions. For instance, there are 24 (!) people working at The Takeout?
