No Switch? That seems like an oversight in this day and age.

Here in middle and eastern europe we’ve got 100 Mbps almost everywhere at hotels., and 50 is usually the bare minimum. Most people have 1gig at home. So...
Well said. Personally it’s not for me either that much, I mostly travel with my gaming laptop, but I genuinely believe it would be attractive to people who game on consoles, since they can’t just bring their consoles with them.
Regarding internet speed, true enough, although in middle and eastern Europe (where I mostly…
It definitely looks more like “Tomb Raider and the Guardian of Light” than “Diablo,” but I think Joshua went with the Diablo comparison, because the name immediately comes with a specific visual. When people read “Tomb Raider,” they don’t think of “Guardian of Light” or “Temple of Osiris.”
If you guys haven’t seen it yet, the game already has a page on Steam. War and Strife seem to be the only playable characters and the game apparently does feature co-op, including shared/split-screen local. You can also swap between the two, if playing single-player.
Too late.
Would it even surprise you a little bit if Bungie resused assets? They do it all the time. Hell, they’ve given us most of the exotic armory from Destiny 1 FFS. They don’t seem keen on making new stuff.
Cross-save is great and all and is appreciated, but cross-play it is not. Dauntless is really pushing cross-play forward, and I’m hoping Destiny 2 and many other games will follow their example.
Cayde-6 came wayyyy after Strife. Strife has been in the lore with that look for much longer than destiny was around. The first time I say Cayde, I thought, oh shit they jacked Strife’s look! Even the revolvers!
Yes, and my sentiment hasn’t gone away. Having my internet drop out during a multiplayer game is annoying enough, and that happens a few times a week. Requiring an internet connection when I wanted a single-player experience will only expand the dependence on my connection. I live in the country now; streaming more…
I can’t be the only one who thought that was Cayde-6 for a second
Or 6 years ago when the XBox One was dead-on-announcement and couldn’t recover even after they backtracked before releasing the console.
I do remember that.
I remember when the idea of microtransactions in a paid AAA game was unthinkable.
It’s more in the A-AA range then triple A of games. And I’m ok with that. It’s also clearly a game without abusive gambling mechanics like lootboxes (ala shadows of mordor), that’s a plus.
I'm team Sony but I'll gladly spend money on an X1X before I commit to the uncertainty of game streaming.
In 2020, Google will launch a “Stadia Base” model that’s totally free, but only allows you to play games at 1080p resolution.
Remember ten years ago when people were absolutely enraged that a game might have an “always online” requirement?
Completely disagree, someone could come out of the woodwork for so many different things it’s insane. I don’t want to be playing military simulation games a decade from now where they are so afraid of getting sued they can’t use realistic weapons, vehicles, technology, hell even clothing designs. This just opens up…
So...that’s sounds....neat, on a technical level...but not particularly conducive to good character work or compelling storytelling.
Watch Dogs 2 is really, really good...I think I’d just like more of that in a different setting.
