Caught up with this story and I really don’t see what they did wrong other than pretty odd answers to a bad interview.

A miracle but not widely realistic.

Hope you guys like MTX because that's the only way to subsidize this kind of thing. You can only hope it's done right.

I’m pro choice. Dunno how many conservative straight dudes read... Jezebel.

I’m not in favor or against it. It’s never been shoved down my throat. I’ve purchased two lootboxes ever, and never dropped anywhere near 20$ for a skin.

True, Progressives attack elements of gaming all the time. But I'm not gonna pretend I don't remember what a conservative would do if it was up them.

If they could ban it, they would.

There’s basically no reasonable existence of some rich person asking a politician to regulate games in return for donations.

Yeah it's all types of weird.

Conservatives don't like gambling and never liked gaming culture. This makes perfect sense.

Those suggestions are lame.

And as of Mortal Kombat 11, she’s the voice of iconic character Sonya Blade. Let’s take a moment to consider how messed up that is.”

You’re only presuming that an ex-mook would only have a limited number of personality options. We have Talon characters in the game already and while they can all be generally described as ‘tough’, they have very distinct personalities and quirks. Same with the Overwatch team and solo characters.

As a half Haitian who didn’t really get a swell of positive vibes from Baptiste getting into the game due to him being ‘Black Male Character Prime’ in terms of a super safe non-existent personality, I rather they spice up this woman before we get yet another ‘I’m a strong independent black woman respect me just cause’

It’s a little (a lot) disengenuous to ask why *he’s* so worked up when the only reason we’re at this point is because ‘certain people of certain worldviews’ got worked up.

Nothing about a race of space monkey people warrants them being Japanese or even Asian in general but if I were casting I'd go for a Chinese-American.

Mute button.

It's besides the point who considers it good or bad, you just have to understand why it's there and will be there. It's unlikely, and I mean this in a cosmic sense, that you will convince people in competition not to taunt and tease their opponents. At best you can force them in esports venues, which won't be popular,

I can sympathize with this perspective, but trash talk and taunting exists in every facet of competition. Walk by a street ball game sometime, it’s not sweet talk going on. Look at press conferences of UFC of boxing matches. The highly sanitized presentation of esports betrays the real interactions between rivals

Victory is for the strong.
