Actually the interesting thing about those two is how neither actually stops crime from happening. They’re just better at catching the bad guys.

No.
Over 100 years of Criminology as a science. Out the window. As it turns out we should have simply told people theft and violence are bad.
Yes, violent people just need to be told to stop. You cured crime. Yay.
The big ticket item of the alt-right is an ethno-state and the coerced or forced removal of primarily *my* race. Shapiro is not for that.
I agree. So now they need to prove how and why a Jew and a black guy and other minorities (and people who hate the alt-right) are somehow in league with them.
We really need a landmark libel settlement to prevent these people from insinuating things like Ben Shapiro or SomeBlackGuy being even indirectly related to the alt-right.
Real life =/= Videogame
I’m not concerned with what you think is or isn’t an issue, nor am I worried a few white dudes escalating their beef with a gunshot.
Any particular reason the area these guns are coming from don’t suffer the crime rate Chicago does?
Well now I’m offended that they would allow a bunch of middle class white people to bully their free expression (a literal historical issue toward my race in this country).
That's just for your sensibilities, that would do nothing to curb nazis.
“The tweets were not racist; they were jokes about black people.”
Everything about this piece and that gathering is about skin color, or rather being not-white. There’s no other uniting factor; not genre of games, not a jam if some sort - 'here's a gathering of devs who aren't white'. It's all about skin color.
Is a room full of white people diverse if they're different races?
That's reasonable. I was merely salty at seeing people reduced to their skin color again. Kotaku has a bad case of that.
They could do that, but now we're paying possibly double for certain dance emotes cause they'd have to share a portion of revenue. And licensing music is games does have a half-life, ask Rockstar and Harmonix. There's no reason at all to introduce such complications when currently they're doing fine.
That doesn’t make sense. If it’s primarily filled with one race it’s by definition not diverse. The argument would never work with, say, a white dev conference in South Africa. Same context, but I doubt people here would call it diverse. Quite the opposite, even.
Why can rap be protected if it's about what white people don't/can't do?
“Here, the rooms are full of black and brown people who are making games.”
