The way that I see it, this movie is for people who’ve always recognized that this Superman has always saved people and been, to his expense in an increasingly hostile world, heroic. For everyone else who says “not muh Superman” or “he hasn’t save anyone”, they can go suck a moldy lemon, they don’t deserve this

Wtf man. He didn’t see the bomb completely hidden from him by lead but still helped bring injured people out of the rubble. He also idunno saved people from floods and burning buildings and being stranded on icebreaker and world-destroying aliens.
Also I’m sure they’re not trying to paint Superman and Batman as fast

Regardless of whether his views were “right” or “wrong” (especially since “right” and “wrong” are so often subjective), all Google did accomplish by firing him is prove they are guilty of that which he accused them of: Being/fostering an “echo chamber” on this issue.

As a liberal, its hard for me to stand by and see obvious censorship in the workplace. As a business owner, I can see why Google want’s to just swallow the negative PR now, pay James some hush money and do all they can to move on from this.

the witnesses might have been mistaken about what they saw. that’s not their fault, it’s the fault of the investigators who didn’t look at any alternative to the theory they set out to prove.

We all are, David sucks.

Well stated. These investigators also don’t give a shit that the school is likely going to be on the losing end of lawsuit/settlement due to the way they handled this “investigation,” because the taxpayers will foot the bill...

It seems the same people who want the authorities to take women at their word in accusations of sexual assault want us to call them liars when the exonerate the accused.

The issue here is that colleges are simply not equipped in any kind of way to engage in such activities. They are not motivated by law or justice or good of any kind. They act to protect their endowments and lines of business, like any other company would do.

the diff is this:

You’re a fucking idiot.

Think that we live in such a nanny state that we want institutions to override the individual decisions of people.

What you don’t get is that there is more evidence that nothing happened. Unless this anonymous accuser wants to come forward with a detailed recollection of what he/she witnessed, there is no evidence to accuse the kicker of abuse, let alone ruin his fucking life.

For the past several years since the “Dear Colleague” letter, this has been a national fiasco. I sat on a university student affairs committee at the time, and they changed the policy to comply with that new Title IX standard. They said they were moving away from a “rights-based” approach and toward the system

So are you saying Katz doesn’t have agency? And shouldn’t get to decide whether something happened to her or not?

Bah Gawd, that’s Betsy DeVos’s music!

You seem to have made your own judgement so who are you to pass judgement? And yes I am passing judgement on you.

Wouldn’t innocent people also have the same reason to the say the same thing? I don’t know what these people are into. Maybe they are into BDSM or just read 50 Shades. If both parties agree that nothing inappropriate happened, I like to give those people their own agency.

Why wouldn’t you when all parties actually involved agree on their story?

Or he’s willing to take Katz, the alleged victim, at her word. Doesn’t seem too crazy to me...
