I've been following twitter and the expanded universe of commentators. 99% agree this was correct, a no brainer.

Yeah, pretty much every professional paid analyst and MLB representative says thats a good call.

Dude, Deadspin has a topic thread called Fuck the Cardinals.

Rule says intent doesn't matter.

As someone else said, once someone wants to complain about the official getting the call right because of context they are no longer worth listening to...

You're the one who wants to ignore their wishes . . . so I guess you're the asshole.

Do they now?

A century ago.

Actually, its quite clear what I've said. You're a troll incapable of discussing the issue.

You're more than happy to do that because I pointed it out. And it shouldn't matter what concerns me, it should matter what you believe and what concerns people that would be offended by those words.

But you used the word.

That's the trick here, what you keep avoiding. No one is hurling anything as a slur anymore. That's where you're caught up.

Again, dodging the discussion.

Again, trying to create my opinion for me.

Yeah, says me. I'm rational. The word isn't used in a derogatory or demeaning way.

And you are ignoring my point altogether. You're starting on a fallacy.

I see the rationale and it is simplistic. The implications are that any time a group of people, no matter the size, find something offensive then they should automatically get their way.

I don't need to explain anything as I don't particularly care what childish and simplistic rationale you have for your opinion.

And I can treat you like an dumb ass for having a stupid opinion.
