I really like your podcast but PLEASE lose the wannabe-NPR intro music.

Cmon, Kotaku! Where is the diversity in body types with the females in these pictures? I see a total of ONE plus-sized girl in all of these pictures, everyone else is skinny with big boobs. So much of this sites cosplay scene touts “body positivity” but then every gallery or feature I see on cosplay offers up mostly

This is a great idea only if you have the time to devote. To me, open world games are a lot like NFL football. In NFL games, you spend 80% of the time the game is on watching commercials. With open world games, without fast travel, you spend about 80% of the game NOT playing the game, but riding/driving/walking to the

You know, the preview material for Ghostbusters 2016 was utter garbage, but it doesn’t mean that the people who said “go see it first” were wrong, considering there does exist about 120 minutes of footage that nobody saw in the trailers. While it didn’t happens, that extra 120 minutes of footage might have contained

I won’t deny that Hollywood likes to whitewash characters. If people wanna take issue with that, that’s fine, it is entirely BS. But at least Scarlett Johanson does look A LOT like the Major.

What I cant understand are the people that start with whitewashing and take it one step further, saying this movie is trash,

They’ve probably been planning her release for a long time. I highly doubt they’d move it up depending on the weather

I get not giving Nintendo a pass for all of their antiquated business practices and their seeming inability to adjust with the times, but the initial sales of the Switch are proving that people aren’t super concerned with those things, at least not those on the candle bubble, a group we’ve seen gobble up Nintendo

But are core gamers interested in indies less than casual gamers? Considering “casual” gamers are usually those that don’t read up on kotaku like we do, but see the more big budget, highly advertised games, I don’t know if they have the same knowledge of indie games as core gamers. I don’t equate casuals with indie

I think he’s talking about a situation in which Nintendo only uses indies as a pillar of the platform until more AAA publishers take notice of the system and start developing a lot more titles for it, or until Nintendo has a bigger selection of their own exclusives. Ya, it’s looking at things from a “What if?”

He’s talking about an entirely different platform though. Nintendo has been pretty bad about getting indies in their home consoles before, so they’re pretty late to the party in that one. Regardless, this is a good thing and I think the entire industry should have this “if an indie can sell well on steam it can sell

I’d say most of the games I play that have male characters that aren’t dwarves or gnomes or elves feature some pretty miraculously attractive men. To each their own I guess

Oh girl, go on, get all saucy about her skin and eyebrows! Shes no strong female protagonists unless she has realistic brows and shitty skin! Go on girl!

Lara is still crafted to look almost perfect, no matter how much blood and dirt you put on her.

“This is all marketing that’s meant to sell you an idea of beauty so you will buy a product, and marketing fucking works.”

“This is all marketing that’s meant to sell you an idea of beauty so you will buy a product, and marketing fucking works.”

So I’m new to this whole story (heard about it yesterday) but I just wanna know what the overall goal here is besides recognition. Is there a goal here that’s measurable and tangible that we might see afterwards? How will we know if this is a success or has changed minds, vs just reading a bunch of congratulatory

Thanks for the idea, Kotaku. Now I’ll just round up 12 people from my friends list and take turns letting the other team win so we level up faster.

He isn’t a player, he can’t throw a game like a player can. He could, however, instruct his team to lose since he bet against them as well. Considering the prize for winning the tournament was probably much greater thank the $1500 this guy ended up winning, I doubt he convinced the team to throw the game. He’d have to

Or if you plan on ever filling up 32gb of storage in an age where Nintendo operates a Shop selling digital downloads at discounts enticing you to fill up that measly storage space. But that’ll never happen.

The PS4 also launched with streaming apps, 500gb of storage, and didn’t struggle to run Zelda at 900p.
