Not sure if you’ve figured it out in the time since you asked these, but to answer your second question: the combat is quite good, and that’s coming from someone who really disliked the combat in 3D Zeldas until now.

Boy howdy, I wouldn’t call this game completely solid from a technical point of view, between the freezes, fps drops and how the game handles enemies and NPCs fading in and out (I was wandering the Faron woods, saw an NPC walking on the road ahead, and when I ran ahead to talk to them, they faded away.
