Believe it or not, youtube actually has some content that is better/more enjoyable/better age targeted than Disney Junior. PBS kids is a far better recommendation, and it’s free too - but with a far, far more limited amount of content.

Let me guess - Roy remembers when “women were sacred.”
Give me a fucking white list, Youtube.
I’m guessing they were looking at some of her past photos when she had super short hair and wanted to replicate them because she has one of the most beautiful skulls on the planet (not joking at all), but they REALLY should have known this was hugely problematic and asked her first!
Truly unfortunate. At my kid’s preschool, if a kid had a severe allergy they didn’t even allow any allergen foods in that classroom, even from other kids. My son’s room was egg and nut free, which was not easy to follow but better safe than sorry.
Simple really. All those people we kill were Bad Guys. The babies and little children that died? Bad Guys in training.
One factor a lot of people don’t know is that you can become a felon for shockingly small things. Setting aside the total mess that is the war on drugs, in Virginia any theft over $200 is a felony. A dumb kid could steal a classmate’s iphone and end up being unable to vote for the rest of their life. That’s INSANE.
I know I’m kind of in a bubble, but in all the political podcasts I listen to, it’s the black women who have me jumping up and cheering. They need a bigger soapbox because they get things DONE.
Did I sound very angry? It’s a known fact that the current NRA focuses a great deal of their influence on dismantling or preventing registries involving guns. Some of those I agree with - registries that rely on violating HIPAA or guilty-until-proven-innocent fly lists are obviously problematic. Some of them I don’t…
Uggghhh, conservatives are going to make hay out of this basically FOREVER.
Welllll, technically, I’m putting this on the NRA and friends, because they’re the ones who have fought so vociferously against more efficient, more universal registry systems that would prevent exactly this sort of “accident.”
That sounds absolutely LOVELY. Sadly our dining room is too small to loose even a few feet. It’s too bad, because I love that idea!
Good for A.V. Club! Press solidarity is one of the best ways to encourage freedom of the press.
Don’t get me started on dining rooms. I hate dining rooms. We actually have a formal dining room with a big formal dining set inherited from family. How often do we use it? LITERALLY NEVER. Even when we have guests over, we always eat on the kitchen table. I hate that I have a room in my house that does nothing…
Sorry, I should have said: in winter most of our heat was through the fireplace. Decidedly old fashioned. Modern technology means we can be far more efficient and have zones and don’t need everything near the main fireplace!
Every time I watch one of those shows, I wonder when the backlash will start and they’ll all be about throwing up new walls. People certainly used to have the tech to build “open-concept” buildings - wanting separate spaces was probably both a luxury and surely more energy efficient in some cases.
That being said, I…
I habitually tuck my feet up under my bum when I sit because I have always been short, and having your feet dangle off the edge of an chair HURTS. Maybe she has a similar issue?
Nah, fuck Debbie. There’s was a time to make a big deal about this, and that time was when the new leadership of the DNC was being shaken out when it could have HELPED THE SITUATION, not nice and late in the game when it’s only useful to Russian bot farms and ladies named Debbie who want to make lots of money selling…
Technically they say they’ll cover BC if used for other medical needs, but I’ve been in that rodeo back in the bad pre-ACA days. It means months on letter writing by your doctor to convince them, and then they’ll occasionally refuse to pay anyway just to keep you on your toes and force you to spend hours calling…
TO be fair, pre-ACA school insurance was the only way to get coverage for students besides buying individual. (Don’t forget, insurance companies were not forced to cover children until 26 back then - many stopped at 18.)
