The new building system is in fact more System-compatible than the original Bionicle system. Just because it isn't directly compatible with system doesn't make it bad. In fact, Bionicle launched a whole new category of Lego action figure products that include Hero Factory and Superheroes.

Bionicle 2.0 is utilizing the Character and Creature Building System. CCBS has been introduced and refined in Hero Factory quite successfully over the past several years, and is just as legitimate a source of pieces as any 2x4 red brick.
