So does the character of Ryan Shay on Suburgatory remind anyone else of Ryan Lochte? Or is that a horrible thing to say?

I ran circulation stats on teen books at my library the other day out of curiosity. The top 10 YA books checked out in the past 12 months were all Harry Potter and Twilight. (HP beat Twilight.) Hunger Games was in the lower part of the top 20, which surprised me.
I totally wore overalls for like the last three months of my pregnancy. Stylish? No. Comfortable...you betcha!
I think Justin Timberlake is a hilarious actor. If you told 10-years-ago Me that I'd love Timberlake now, I would have laughed at you.
Seriously, he looks terrified.
Except sometimes it's not possible. I often have flowers delivered to my grandmother for her birthday. I'd love to stop at a florist myself, but she lives 9 hours away.
This is one of the images someone uploaded on Proflower's Facebook page. Beautiful! (It's not just ProFlowers, though. It's FTD, 1-800, etc. There is no quality control with these big flower companies. Didn't Jez have this same article last year about ProFlowers?)
I bought my son a copy of Monopoly a year or two ago, and I can confirm that it doesn't have all of the "classic" pieces.
In addition to what Gemmabeta said, it's quite possible the child asked for help from his parents with the content. My son (now age 9) has often done that. Sometimes they know what they want to say and have trouble saying it. (And it also looks like they helped "spellcheck," because he fixed thes to this.) Based on my…
What happens if you're fully Icelandic, but born in another nation and given a non-approved name, but then move back to Iceland when older?
Omygod I want that puppy!
Didn't I read somewhere that he was thinking of getting rid of Demi, too? If anything, I think she was the worst judge. Britbrit may have said the least helpful things, but Demi's "advice" destroyed her competitors. They were all waaaaay too overdone, overproduced and overmade.
I got stuck on the word, too. However, typos can happen to everyone, even professional writers. The problem is that there is a lack of respect for copy editors in the field, and many publications don't feel the need to employ them. (And several newspapers have reduced the number of copy editors on staff.) When people…
I never knew this. It makes it even better!
The best wedding "flash mob" ever was in Love Actually. And that was before flash mobs were a thing. I almost want to have a big wedding because of it. Almost. But not enough to really ever go through the headache of a big wedding.
My cat is on prozac. True story. We tried the collars (she figured out how to pull it off within a few hours...I was afraid if I tightened it more she'd choke herself). We tried feliway air fresheners. Nothing worked. She was peeing in corners all over the house (also checked her for UTI other related problems), she…
While I understand the reasoning and think it's a good thing to do, I wonder if mandatory testing means some people will choose to give birth at home...causing potentially higher risks.
I have not heard of Happy Socks. I lovelovelove weird socks, of any kind. I think I own maybe two pair of black socks, and the rest of my socks are brightly colored, patterned or have little animals on them.
That doesn't stop actresses from being concerned about it.
I had two cats on either side of my laptop while watching this. They started staring each other down, trying to figure out why the other was pissed. They're still looking for the angry cat.
