Often, it may be blocked at the request of whatever channel airs the show in the country in question. AMC Europe only has a handful of broadcast areas, so their original content is licensed to different networks depending on the country. As a result, watching a trailer in the UK that tells the viewer to tune in to AMC

Are they even still going to DC?

Where did I say that he didn't? Read my post again.

Definitively, no. But If I see a dog in a movie, it's probably reasonable to assume that it is indeed a dog and not a shapeshifting alien or an android, until there's evidence to suggest that this is the case.

Sure, that's one. Or the others where I base my argument on the fact that there's zero onscreen evidence that Owen and Beru aren't considered Luke and Anakin's actual family members. This is opposed by the counter argument: "Uhhh..."uncle" just means, like, a guy I know...or something. So they're totally not Luke's

I never said he would be looking for Luke, as evident from my own comment in the thread. My reply to Ovy is only disputing his assertion that continuity was "ruined" by including Tatooine in a series of films exploring the early life of Anakin Skywalker — a guy who the previous films had established as having lived on

You're on of those people who just posts before reading the other comments, aren't you?

As I said to someone else, there's as much evidence that Luke isn't biologically related to Anakin as there is that he isn't related to Owen or Beru — we make assumptions based on evidence, or lack thereof.

Why are people acting like I said "original film" and not "original trilogy"?

There's an Imperial presence on Tatooine, and Mos Eisley seems to be a fairly bustling place, which Kenobi definitely appears to be familiar with. It's probably not a stretch to assume that in 18 years, he heard something about the second most powerful person alive.

Beru's smile when she says Luke has "too much of his father in him," suggest both familiarity and fondness. I doubt she's reminiscing while comparing her nephew to a middle-aged, partially robotic, evil space-wizard, serving as the right hand of a brutal dictator, that she's never met.

Beru had a sex change? Never knew that.

A line about how they came from somewhere else, a line about how Tatooine was only recently settled, a line about how they're not used to dealing with Jawas and/or Tusken Raiders, a line about how it was easier to get droids wherever they were before...

That just creates one more continuity issue though, because Obi-Wan needs to know that Anakin and Vader are the same dude.

Now playing

Maybe that whole time he thought it was Jeff Vader.

Probably could have sold him to Watto for a pretty penny.

See my reply to Trevor.

Couldn't agree more.

I imagine at some point in the 18 years between III and IV he became aware of Vader's existence. Luke's 5 years old, he catches some broadcast on the holonet about Vader's exploits...

That made it into the third draft of Jedi, as well. May even have been shot, for all we know.
