@cowboy killer: I haven't seen the LB gag before—what's so funny? I don't know if I can take it. I luff LB. ;-)

She has captured Miley Cyrus and her annoying-ness perfectly!

@MsWhatsit: I don't. It seems like cheating. Everybody knows you can keep vocalizing during a whole song, because you can just repeat the chorus. Monologues require an active mind. I think. I don't know. Meh!

@Animan: But necessary!!

I liked the crack joke.

I liked the crack joke.

@Snarfblat: I've never even looked at it, but if it's anything like what I've heard, I've had the same problems elsewhere. I not-so-secretly believe that somehow these awful people know some secret of life that I'm somehow missing, and believe that they are right—that whatever it is about me that they claim is so

@jianna: Yes, I wish I had studied more math and science because now that I'm out of college I yearn for hard facts. I was always afraid of failing because my parents threatened not to pay for classes if I didn't get an A or a B, which was a ridiculous threat because my school didn't charge by the credit hour.

"Offered herself" and "arranged" are meaningless phrases. Was it her idea? With the intellectual capacity of a thirteen year old, this seems unlikely. Last fall, I tried going to comedy open-mics. When I got sick of hearing men make rape jokes, I told my own. Nobody laughed.

@KarenMHC: haha, i mean, wrinkles.

I think there's a fraud argument to be made, particularly in the image above, and it has less to do with the attainability of beauty. The shirt on the left wrinkles and gives with body curvature. The shirt on the right wrinkles so much less that it appears to be made of a different material. Also, the ruffles take up

We all have our stories, I think. The answer is, yes, having a father who reacts in some noticable way to a woman's appearance has an impact on the daughter's self-esteem and how she perceives the importance of appearance.

@wtfox?!: I am not in favor of censorship, but I'm even more opposed to schools permitting this kind of thing to be published without then using it as a teaching moment. The Feminist Alliance shouldn't have to do it. The administration needs to be a part of it.

I was thinking of applying to JHU for grad school, and now I won't.
