Is it just me who thinks that the right is making up more and more stuff to react too?

I’m sure this sounds absolutely crazy, but you used to be able to buy a game at a premium price and it wouldn’t ask you for more money every few months. At most they’d sell you an expansion later, or a sequel, or an entirely new game.

So long as this game costs $70 while still including a battle pass, I think I’ll hold off on purchasing this. I’m sure for other people this will be no problem and they’ll likely have a fun time playing, but for me it just seems egregious to charge this much for a game and still be prompted to spend even more money on…

Did you play Diablo 3 on launch?  The droprate was very obviously impacted by the presence of the real money AH, and that affected the flow of the entire game.  Ignoring the AH in no way solved the problems caused by the RMAH.

For those who don’t know, the “grape quality” thing is an in-joke referencing Yoshida’s other game, Final Fantasy XIV. When the Endwalker expansion launched in 2021, there was a vineyard in one of the starting areas with a bug in the grape models. They were supposed to have a sliding poly resolution based on distance…

perhaps the act of purchasing it isn’t different but that doesn’t mean they’re the same thing.

Glad to see Sony’s storied tradition of failing to read the room remains intact. 

merchandising and micro-transactions aren’t anywhere near the same thing. 

Oh boy, more live service games. And so happy the microtransactions market is banging, I’m really looking forward to more of that too.

Also, don’t allow your kid to spend $170 on an app in the first place. 

That’s a fun lineup, but Omni Man and Homelander come off as a bit redundant, to have in the same game. Hopefully, Omni Man’s character model looks drawn, like the comic/show to hopefully be a more original inclusion.

Overwatch died for this, rofl. So OW2 is now just a large patch, period. Not a sequel (rofl) and not even an expansion, just a big patch after a VERY long dry spell.

If you are going to sail the high seas, get a vpn and make sure to turn it on before download. Also block lists, far from foolproof but better than nothing
