If being able to change/upgrade the battery didn’t void the damn warranty, I wouldn’t be so annoyed about the crappy default battery life. And being over time, rechargable batteries do degrade and hold less charge, I had a feeling something like this was gonna happen.

Well, had you some shares when it WAS very low, like $20 each before the boom, GS stock could have certainly saved you when it exploded. Just a matter of getting out at the right time, and avoiding investing after the boom. 

Not necessarily. Get in before a boom, and you actually CAN make money. Like that guy who turned $60 into $3k. Getting in too late is where big losses happen.
