What’s really baffling is “The Internet” seems to LOVE the Triumph Bonneville/Scrambler/Thruxton, when they share much the same design ideals as your modern Harley.
Joseph Gustafson is a brand new contributor to Lanesplitter. His mouth is much faster than his riding acumen. He enjoys taking long rides on the road, short rides on the dirt, and finding new ways to use the term “voracious” in a sentence. Follow him on Instagram and Twitter as he butchers welding and words in the…
Yeah.. that’s a really odd number to be limited to. A 1000cc engine making only 100hp is late 80’s level of performance.
Concept bikes being mangled in the name of regulations has many crimes, but you missed on one that has grown to egregious perportions in modern bikes (in many cases litterally): Mufflers.
Was headed up to Seattle with three friends to see another firend perform (music). The car was a 1984 BMW 528e.
Gotta put the side curtain airbag someplace...
Don’t think of this class of bike like a normal Dual Sport, these are Overland bikes. They *can* do trails, maybe even an easy single track, but they aren’t intended for slow speed technical riding, they are meant to go hard, go fast, and bring whatever you need.
My “headcannon” for that scene was that the plane turned around at some point. Doesn’t improve the situation... much, but it gives somewhat of a reason for why the runway seemed so long.
This was my thought as well. I was never sold on it in photos, always looked a bit off. Once I saw one in person it clicked, and I don’t mind it now. There’s still some funk about it, but it’s acceptable.
I would probably watch Cooking With Clarkson.
Icon themselves have a video out now on the New Jack Katana:

1. Fix the damn UI so it's consistent and functional.
The RA271/2 was an amazing machine. It was truly an oddity, and Honda's motorcycle roots were apparent in it's design. The reason the engine was so wide and heavy was due to it's configuration. The engine was mounted transversely, like a motorcycle. Making it so that one set of exhausts exit out the "top" and one set…
Backtracking from their 1400cc Supercharged JetSki engine (similar setup), it should be around 220 at the crank.
Ha ha ha. The early 2000s NFS games (Underground(2), Most Wanted, Carbon) were great if you just want to mess around. It's a magical place here a Lexus IS300 could go toe to toe with the best Italy has to offer.
The fire shot surprised me. I was expecting the water bottle to be filled with water and the flame to be extinguished.
Normally yes, but the helmet in that trick had the liner pulled from it (at least the cheekpads, which makes up the major portion of snugness when putting on/taking off a helmet).
