Yes, I was talking about laptop keyboards specifically.

NOOOOOO to the vacuum cleaner! At least to a standard-issue consumer model! DON’T DO IT!

Wonderful images. I’m up on Ottawa, myself so I was impressed to see you’re not really too far away. May I ask: What do you use the iPads for?

I like how, at the beginning of the video, the brother Green on the right takes a quick moment to smell his armpit.

There are a lot of people who have hated on this game since day one, but... over and over again I am just blown away by the massive, staggering amount of content they create and the density of quality features. It’s not a perfect game but, by god, they work really hard for those $15 a month.

I’m not sure there’s any factual evidence to support we have only so much willpower per day. In fact, I’m inclined to think the more we exercise our willpower, the more of it we have.

Children make shopping for anything impossible, and they will bitch and moan and scream I’M BORED even when you are buying a fucking 172-inch home theater screen.

I find it interesting how the Gawker network, when discussing Apple users, always hold up the most maladjusted, unpleasant, tunnel-visioned jacknozzles as an example of the norm. The ones who embarrass the rest of us.

I know Marty O’Donnell. We’re not like best friends or anything but we’ve talked many times and enjoyed a couple dinners together. I haven’t seen him in quite a while, so I’m not trying to be a name dropper or anything. I just wanted to step in and say that he’s one of the smartest, most pleasant, coolest people I

I know perfectly well most men start measuring themselves at the taint.

So edgy.

The thing people seem to be missing is: Managers favor and defend paying customers. Favoritism happens only when money is flowing into the till. This guy with the “every day is my birthday” thing? No manager is going to put up with that.

Managers tend to be concerned about upsetting paying customers. Freeloaders and scam artists don’t generally get a lot of compassion from management.

That’s not gonna happen. The employee isn’t complaining about the company; he’s complaining about a customer. And he’s not naming the customer, so he’s not putting the company in legal danger. He’s fine.

And almost all of those avenues are more effective because they see adults doing the sociopathic behavior first.

Very good.

I’m not sure I agree with #4, but... it’s probably a noticeable issue for girls more than it is for boys. Boys aren’t generally going to feel marginalized in a situation like that.
