I can also imagine people hear stories of doctor deeming somebody gone in that sense, family doesn’t ‘pull the plug’ and their loved one miraculously makes it. I’ve heard such stories, I would be extremely careful about pulling a plug...scared of taking my loved ones’ lives when they might have a chance.

Honestly curious, why would it be in bad taste? It is the name of his mother and he always seemed like he really loved her.

I think it’s just a good thing if she’s being treated more like a human and less like someone above people in general.
