The GTI comment is spot on. I commute to my job in a VERY small town everyday (188 people) and have had farmers in their 1980’s beat up pickup trucks tell me how much they “like my little Volkswagen”. On the other scale, I was chatting to a guy with an S63 and he says he loves the GTI. Everyone just seems to love them.

Properly matched turbos will show very little more lag than manifold mounted ones, it is one of the selling points of STS Turbos. Had one on my '04 GTO and it was an absolute beast.
