Really grateful for many of the commenters here. I felt like I was in Bizarro world reading this. I don’t see how anything Jamil said here was inconsiderate, privileged, racist, or wrong.

Everyone is concentrating on football and basketball, but this rule change could have a big impact on athletes who compete Olympic sports. Gymnasts, Track and Field, Soccer, etc. could compete on the world and Olympic stage, compete in the NCAA, and still make money off of their image and likeness.

I think it makes a difference if they leave royal life AND Great Britain. People have short attention spans these days. Sure, there will still be the article every now and then, but if they moved to the US, I think that would provide some geographic and legal protections.

I think this is deeper, Martha. I agree Black boys are targeted at a young age for sex. There have been actual studies about this and a lot of it is sexual abuse of children. When a child is having orgies, there is sexual abuse involved.

It actually sounds to me like he may have been sexually abused at a young age, just like Chris Brow  and Lil Wayne. This is a phenomenon that is happening in the US, where black boys in particular are targeted for sex often by older girls and women.
