According to ABC News, the Cook County Prosecutor spokesperson said the exact opposite:

I believe he’s actually only out $10,000 (for a bond, the defendant usually only pays a percentage of the bond, not the whole thing). From what I read earlier, he gave up $10,000 and all charges were dropped.

There’s no plea bargain. For a plea bargain to happen, the defendant should have to plead guilty, no contest, or an Alford plea. None of that is present here.

It there was actually a trial, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw multiple “Mark Furman” moments during the defense’s case. The CPD ruined this case just like the LAPD ruined the OJ case. Police misconduct with the leaks and lying to the media such that the FBI had to call CPD out!

Chicago PD’s evidence must have been nothing. The FBI already came out and said the CPD was exaggerating about the letter. The rest of the evidence must have been flimsy at best.

I hope y’all are prepared for when absolutely nothing comes of this. This country doesn’t have enough integrity to correct what’s happening with this government right now.

Stating psychopaths cannot be rehabilitated was too extreme. I should have said, they cannot be cured and there has been some limited success in managing them in institutional settings.

Okay, I was just wondering. Me personally - I want no parts of a psychopath who had murdered many people walking free near me or any of my loved ones. These folks can’t be rehabilitated and especially in the American prison system which doesn’t rehab folks who aren’t psychopaths.

He killed several people of color, including several Black people across the USA - not just the DMV. He also shot and permanently injured a 13 year old Black boy. My opinion- I don’t support leniency for Black people who are guilty of harming anyone and especially other Black folks.

This is what my mom did. After my parents’ separation and divorce, my mom didn’t date again until my little sister graduated high school. My sister is 5 years younger than me, btw.
