I see where the OP is coming from. I’ve found I can’t rely on apps to do everything for me. But on the other hand, I’ve found that apps have helped me in ways pencil and paper would have made MUCH more difficult.

I subscribe to Runkeeper for the Runkeeper Live tracking for my family, but I prefer to use iSmoothRun for my running app. It has more features (unless you need training programs) and pushes your run to Runkeeper and a host of other services including my favorite running tracker, SmashRun! http://smashrun.com/cpnm/invi

I got Pixelmator a few months ago, and as someone who used Fireworks, I find it very intuitive and powerful. That said, one thing I can't get past is the way it seems to handle layers. In Fireworks and Photoshop you can organize your layers into groups, etc. You can do that in Pixelmator, but when you go to edit an

Honestly, I find evernote already has a very minimal interface. This looks remarkably like evernote.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I put in Apple 4S on T-Mobile, it says it's only 2G or 3G. But my actual device says it's using 4G...

So maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought the latest Mac OSX and iOS could do this—send photos, etc, between your Mac and iDevices..?

I found a big hit going from iOS 6 to 7 on my iPad 2, but going to iOS 8 doesn't slow it down any more. In fact, it may speed up a little. I like it just fine.

Be sure to check the blue one. The rest are $18+, but the blue one should be $10.42. Maybe sign in and out of your Amazon account, too.

You know where I've found a great place to work as an alternative to Starbucks? My local megachurch. They have a coffee bar, soft music, hardly any traffic during the week, plush chairs, and they welcome visitors to use the facilities as a quiet workplace. I'm sure many church's policies are different, and you have to

I dunno. It was an iOS notification I got for SwiftKey but I did NOT get it for Swype. Swiftkey also recommends connecting to your social media account for making a backup. Swype stands alone. Just makes me more comfortable.

Yeeps. When you install it, you get this warning that anything you type on the Swiftkey keyboard could be transmitted back to the creator including credit card numbers and passwords. That was enough to make me uninstall it.

BuyDig has the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 with Adobe Lightroom 5 and a 50 pack of photo paper for $398 - $300 rebate = $98 shipped. Not bad! http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.a…

Huh. I didn't know that about MSE. That's all I use on all my PCs and I love it. :(

I do this every time I finish a book. Great way to keep everything in one place. I have to manually select the book notes though and copy and paste. The page has an infinite scroll built-in that messes up my Evernote clipper.

I've just recently started using Spotify and LOVE it. I do wonder if it's worth the Premium subscription. The ads are only slightly annoying, but with a Premium subscription I could use it on my Tivo and download songs to my running iPod Nano...Hmm...

I agree—but it depends on what service you use. Some services just list everything out there in front of you, but others let you quickly see today's actionable plan like this. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just saying it's kinda already been done.

I like this idea, but I just set my browser open page to my todo list on HabitRPG. You could do that with any service.

Cool, thx! I'll grab it!

So if someone sends me a meeting request via Outlook, it'll show up as a meeting invite in Fantastical? If so, I'm in.
