@Black Knight Rebel: +1
@KaosTheoryx: I don't think it would show you anything other than distance traveled via GPS. the magnet readings will likely only be relevant if attached to the pedals and wheel.
Do not want. My bike computer has a ton of damage done to it. One fall and your phone's screen would be ruined. Also the touch screen would just be too distracting if you wanted to change a setting. My computer has a total of three buttons. The demo looks like it has a whole bunch of options in a touch…
@balikian: I don't really use mine to measure speed unless I'm going way faster than normal, but I do like to see the odometer. 912 miles on this bike so far! I'm gonna throw a party when I reach my first 1k.
@m.m.shaefer: Hopefully just the sensor. An on-board sensor will be much more accurate than a GPS signal, and literally real-time to boot.
Make it e-ink. LCD's aren't fun to look at for reading.
@PacJack360: Probably already in the works. Apparently Intel has been doing in-the-field testing with this for a little while already.
software lock? Have they not noticed that eventually all software locks get broken into? I can't believe they expect to make much money from this.
@jaycustom79: guy-uh.
Also be sure to disable windows 7's disk defragmenter! It could be harmful to your SSD.
@complextinction: It just isn't practical. Imagine what would happen if you sat on a bike with a center of gravity all the way in the back like that. There's a pretty good reason that most bikes have their sets in the middle of the contraption.
@flopplepop: I really really really want tablets to sync up with computers that are nearby. Like in Avatar, when the guy dragged a document off-screen and it reappeared on his tablet. Awesome.
@Roybeez: I would have preferred "I don't believe the media" stickers. Oh well.
I'll still read my printed books. Can't port them to digital without flat-out re-buying them, unless I wanted to pirate them of course.
""The best thing that would happen is for Facebook to open up its data," Mr. Schmidt said. "Failing that, there are other ways to get that information." He declined to be specific."
I really hate the markup on their hard drives. I opened mine up and it's just a regular old sata drive like what's in my laptop except half the size and twice the cost.
It's okay. Don't really care either way. Why isn't that an option? I personally think the only people making a big deal about it are bloggers looking for ad revenue.
I would love to have a huge wraparound desk, but I just don't have space for it :(
@TheloniousFunk: Dude this isn't macworld.com. Windows and Linux computers are still alive and thriving.
