I have email subscriptions at various websites, and I have GMail forward me the letters via sms to my cell phone.

These guys call me all the time, and I'm not even 18 yet. My phone has a 'block number' function but they keep getting new numbers. I don't even own a car....

I work at McDonalds, and I tell you if the food tastes old, it is. If you decide to eat there, I highly reccomend you ask them to make it fresh. They have to obey that request, and if your willing to wait a little longer the food is MUCH better fresh than when it sits in the warmers for a half hour.

I'll stick with Livingsocial and it's virtual library app for facebook. It doesn't suggest books, but I do get a lot of recommendations from my friends, and that is the point of a social network: to connect with your friends.

Photorec and Testdisk are my favorites.
