GTA IV came out on PC like 6 months after consoles, so...it makes sense that they would do something similar here. And it makes more money sense to port it to PC first, because the people who will be buying the XB1 and PS4 probably already had a console and has bought and played GTA V to death, so some better textures…

I realize there will be some needed changes in the code, but having the base in place will make for a speedier transition and I would bet that XBO, PS4, and PC…

It was meant to come out last year too, then got delayed twice, first into 2013, then from May (I think) to September. They hadn't intended to cut it this fine. Seems to have worked out fine for them, though.

Makes more sense to me that the next gen AND pc version will come out at the same time.

PC version will probably be more of a port. For next Gen versions, they'll have to update it a lot.

I think we'll see the PC version last, personally. Next gen early next summer, and the PC version coming in the fall.
