Alot of the tv versions of R films don't show the stuff that caused it to be R. Thats changing more and more I'd guess. But still you can block a set number of channels you dont need to block them all. I dont end up blocking any of them cause my kids just want cartoons the few times they want to watch TV.

Or unless you stop using the TV as a babysitter, do your job as a parent, and monitor what they watch. It's easy to do if there are no TVs in their bedrooms. That's more of a(n accurate) criticism of the inadequacies of the rating system than it is an argument for why an 11 year old should be given a copy of GTA. That Halo would be given the same age restriction as Grand Theft Auto is kind of a problem for both games.
