Absolutely, I went to college and I know all about the text book scam bookstores run on campuses. I did the same thing there too, I sold my books directly to students rather than to bookstores. I made more money than what the bookstores would have given me, and the students paid less than what the bookstores would

Sure, value can be subjective and people can "feel" like they are getting a good deal. Ask yourself this, with Gamestop growing into a billion dollar company, how good of a deal do you think gamers are really getting? Gamers being either unaware or unwilling to do the legwork of buying and selling used games, Gamestop

I'm surprised so many gamers are willing to sell their games for so cheap. I used to sell my games to Gamestop many years ago, and then I realized how much they were ripping me off. Giving me literally pennies for games they'd put on the shelf for $20 or more. Then I started selling games on Craigslist and would make

I know its not fair to judge Jenji's new show based on her last show. But Weeds started out so great and took such a nose-dive. I might give this show a shot, but it really sounds exactly like some of the stuff she was already writing about in Weeds and with Nancy Botwin.

Nice article Shane. I do think that Steam is no longer interested in offering the best sales. Steam has an established customer base of millions of people now, and this is why we see Amazon and GreenManGaming and other sites undercutting Steam, even by just .50 cents. Steam no longer has to be that competitive, they

I've never known any other site to change its design more than Kotaku. This seems to happen like twice a year for the past 3 years.

Hahaha, and that is the sound of a million Talimancers crying out in pain.

Right, implying that I am paranoid. I don't care about the Kinect watching me fap, I care about wasting money on a product I do not want. Only an idiot would buy something he doesn't want. I am not that idiot, but please, make more assumptions, that is working for you.

Yeah, please come up with more presumptuous bullshit assumptions about me. That really makes you look intelligent. The Xbone costs a $100 premium for a peripheral I DO NOT WANT. Please, tell me more about what I value. Seriously, it is idiotic comments like yours that the dismiss feature exists. Dismissed.

Yeah, I do expect that announcing a kinect-less version, or by even letting this rumor float around, they would risk dividing the interest in the platform between people who do and do not want kinect. Hopefully it will happen someday though, as the Kinect is the last objection I have to the Xbone. If they ever do get

They are taking a risk by forcing us to take a risk on an unproven peripheral. I will not reward them with a purchase. We'll see how it goes for them and the Kinect.

Sure, I will deal with it by not buying or playing it ever. #DealtWith

Aww, I was really enjoying that rumor and the prospect of buying an Xbone. Oh well, maybe someday.

You are artificially giving something credit that it hasn't earned. Simple as that. You might think that only after everyone has one, it will start to be good. But from a consumer perspective, that is rubbish. See my above post about risk, I'm not about to take a risk on the Kinect, because it is very likely that it

So we the gamers get to take the RISK on kinect instead of billion dollar corporations. God forbid EA, Ubi and ACTI take the risk on Kinect. Instead, they expect us to all buy the mandatory peripheral on the HOPES that they eventually create software worth using.

Nonsense. The kinect has been out for years and it hasn't done anything impressive in the gaming space. A true killer app is going to come from developers creating something awesome and that consumers want to buy, not by forcibly mandating that kinect be included and hoping the developers eventually make use of it.

So there is a new rumor that MS will be releasing a Xbone without the Kinect, at a lower price in 2014. This obviously contradicts everything MS has said about guaranteeing developers that the Kinect will be part of the platform. Frankly, I think it would be the right business choice, for both people like me, who

Revelations is a great game, I hope you enjoy it Kirk. If you do, pick up the Lost Archive DLC, it is short, but is a nice bit of story content.

After just beating Sleeping Dogs, I couldn't agree more. I beat the entire game, then I played all the DLCs. Now I am ready for a full sequel. The sooner the better!

I knew about that sale and passed on it, now I'm wishing I had got it when it was so cheap.
