Speaking of Steam, my blood is starting to itch. The summer sale is close, I can feel it. I am hoping to get some super cheapo PC games like Dishonored, Far Cry 3 and Bioshock Infinite.

There are countless games that balance serious content with humor. The problem is SR is only focused on humor and is devoid of any serious content. It can't be taken seriously, there is no suspension of disbelief, it is just a gag reel of jokes and gimmicks.

That is the problem imo, they found a niche and so they doubled-down into that niche. It just seems like they emphasize one type of content way too much, at the expense of other content. That niche isn't going anywhere, but it shouldn't define the entire game series.

I played SR1 and 2 for the story. I loved finding out what happened in SR1 and killing the guy who betrayed me (julius i think). But then SR3 was when they decided they didn't need any pretense of a real story or real characters, and the game just became a sideshow of novelty and gimmicks.

Yeah, New Vegas is a thousand times better than FO3. It is a better world, with better characters, stories and factions. It is a better roleplaying game, with better choices, morality and consequences.
