I welcome all news and stories about the gaming industry from all regions of the world. The real issue here is that there is a void of discussion and stories about the game industry in this region, and instead, we get a flood of fluff stories about comic book shops and the length of girl's skirts in japan. I care

Please, as a night owl, the late night stuff from Kotaku East has to change. I enjoy reading kotaku basically any time of the day except for during Kotaku East. It is such irrelevant nonsense, and yet we always get the same response "we're allowed to post irrelevant japanese nonsense because it is sort of related to

Yup, that piano does it for me too, those final moments as Shepard is venting oxygen and plummeting towards the surface of Alchera. I also love seeing that small detail of Shep hitting the button to seal Joker's escape pod, right before he loses his grip. That is so heroic and awesome, I love it.

Yeah, both of those moments are highlights of ME3 for me. Man, I picked the rachni queen over Grunt's squad on my first playthrough and I was so afraid Grunt was gone. Seeing him emerge, soaked in rachni blood was one of the grossest and most beautiful moments in the game.

Now playing

The single most memorable moment in the ME trilogy for me? The opening of ME2.

I never suggested playing a game you're not enjoying. My very specific example clearly states I am talking about games (and friend in particular) who enjoys the game, and still leaves it unfinished.

Yeah man, he says he loves Mass Effect, but he never finished 1, 2 or 3, but he's played all 3 of them about half-way through. Same with Dragon Age, Deus Ex, Fallout 3 and NV, and tons of others.

I completely agree with you that a game has to be good enough to justify finishing. But I think Bioshock Infinite is a good example of a quality game worth finishing that people still do not finish. I know Bioware has released similar metrics for their Dragon Age and Mass Effect series, with similar numbers of about

So non-finishers, wtf is wrong with you exactly? I have a buddy who is one of your kind. He buys the same games I buy, at midnight launches. He plays the game for a week or two, gets about halfway through, then sells the game back to gamestop. He then repeats this cycle of buying, not finishing and selling games back.

Mass Effect is a great story and trilogy, but it was advertised as a trilogy that would emphasize choices, consequences, reactivity and divergence. Ultimately, the only real consequences made throughout the entire trilogy is the death of characters. If they die, you don't see them again. There is very little

Yeah, I would say companies like Exxon Mobil, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America are all much worse than EA. EA is small potatoes, there are really american companies that are doing serious damage to important things.

Use Gibbed's save editor, it will let you check all the plot/choice flags you want and you can start right at ME3.

Here, let me clarify. I am only owning one console and selling the old one to replace with the new one. I will not be adding a new console box under my tv every 5 years and storing a surplus of controllers and wires just so I can continue playing my game content. Nope, not going to happen.

Maybe I have gotten spoiled as I have a PC and an Xbox, but I simply refuse to buy the next Xbox if it isn't BC. I can play games from the 1980s on my PC, I can play any PC game ever made on my current PC. I don't care about the technical jargon, or the money or the giant corporations, all I care about is my library

Between the always-on DRM and the no backwards compatibility rumors, I am pretty much convinced the next Xbox is already a trainwreck I will never buy.

As an Xbox owner, I really can't wait to find out if the next Xbox will require an always-online connection and if it will be backwards compatible. I am really just waiting to find out if I should keep or sell my xbox. If Xbox screws up the next console, I am just going to PC, but if Xbox manages to not screw up their

Yeah, nothing will convince me not to buy the next xbox better than an online requirement.

Cmon internet, now is your chance to make the awesome sequel, "Sith Academy"

I'm pretty sure LucasArts owned the Zombies Ate My Neighbors license, which needs to be remade into a new game, ASAP.
