Unreal engine costs a ton to use and EA already spent a ton of money financing the development of this engine. It makes sense that they would stop paying for third party tools once they have created their own. I like Epic and the UE, but they have saturated the market and they are also known for charging ~25 cents out

Love the ME3 Jack cosplay. She looks great.

To me fair, the metrics have proven one thing consistently. Metacritic scores don't have a big impact on sales until they are above 90. 90 for some reason is the threshhold, and when a game scores above 90, the sales skyrocket.

I imagine it would be hard to wake up in the morning and crunch at work for 6 months knowing your game is going to be played and reviewed by such imbeciles.

Wow, that is unfortunate for a relatively modern game.

I haven't ever tried to get it running on Win7. It can't be as bad as you say, it is just a DX9 game, right? Why would an Unreal game from 2007 have problems running on Win7?

Also, Bioware Victory is now just Victory.

Jesus, 6.5 hours is outrageous. I 100% GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas and each of those games took well over 50 hours. How the hell do you even travel around the map that fast to collect packages. Mind is blown.

Well, yes, opinions and all. But there is objectivity in the merits of game designs. I do agree with Kirk that the music of AC3 was very lacking compared to the rest of the series, but the non-musical audio was still excellent. The cinematic design was probably the single weakest element of AC3, and even that is not

Nope, those games are inferior.

Yeah, I have played the games and AC3 is clearly the best. No other games in 2012 have been really great or excellent. ME3 is a close second, and Dishonored is probably third, but nothing else in the year even comes close.

I was playing on android.

Wow, I can't disagree more. No offense Kirk, but how long has it been since you played AC1-Revelations? I played them right before 3, and the amount of significant changes made to stealth, combat and platforming are very noticable, and mostly for the better. If anything, they have made all aspects of gameplay easier,

I just got a few levels in, but it is great. All the same fun gameplay, and new mechanics and features. The best thing I've seen so far is that Luke(bird) can reflect blaster fire back at piggies, doing big damage. Very fun!

Oh I don't really care. It just sounds unreasonable and ultimately, it is your loss. I can't help but think that is a bit of a self-imposed and artificial limitation that you are preventing yourself from enjoying future content. I also think a bit of common sense would imply that stories and characters can be entirely

Really? You are basically suggesting the merit of the content, of a new story is not the substance of the story or the characters itself, but if it will become referenced later in an asset or a cameo?

Well, I mean, think about all of ME DLC. No ME1 or 2 DLC had any impact on the ending of their respective games, or the trilogy as a whole. Like Lair of the Shadow Broker and Overlord, are both entirely separate and self-contained stories, yet they both had interesting characters and stories.

I wouldn't be so sure. EA and Bioware don't seem to be into the complete editions. The last Bioware game to get this was Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. But DA2, ME2 and so far ME3 have not gotten any such editions.

I've never understood this perspective. I have heard the same argument made about the Star Wars series, that people don't care about anything prior to the ending of the original trilogy because they know how Luke and Leia etc all save the day.

Not ridiculous at all, I need a bathrobe and this is effectively the coolest bathrobe ever made.
