As somebody who grew up in Pennsylvania, here is what I have heard about Joe Paterno for 40 years.

A wiser man than I summed him up best- Gladwell writes books for people who don’t read books.
Gladwell has made an absolute killing by writing “Maybe just trust your gut” to boomers who just wanted confirmation bias that everything they think is right anyway.
Also, you don’t need a PhD to understand child rape/molestation. Paterno was a force and an institution at Penn State. He didn’t do that by being a kindly…
In Gladwell’s defense, the Penn State coaching staff and administration probably spent more than 10,000 hours raping children and ignoring it, so he’d have to reject the entire premise of one of his own books if he didn’t recognize their expertise in the field.
Anyone else have to go see the 28 pound chonky cat from themself?
So the Liberty had to tank TWICE as hard as the Knicks to secure the 1st pick overall...
The medical personal on the scene had to take Francis off the pitch in a stretcher
Video has emerged of the moment players collapsed on the field after the lightening strike.
Just in case it doesn’t make it out of the greys, I’ll post it here:
Call me crazy but in the scenario you present, the narrative should be “Antonio Brown is a sexual predator” regardless of her own actions at any point!
Ok, I’m unapologetically a dinosaur fan, but I hate contrived scenes like this. You see it in a million movies. It just doesn’t seem realistic. Not the dinos or the sfx, but the way the people are reacting and the very obvious sound stage, everything. During the credits of this short, they show quick little 2-3 second…
The problem is that whenever there’s a civil suit (it is to award damages in the form of money) where a woman like Taylor suing a very rich man, the insinuation is that she lied to do so. It doesn’t matter if the outcome is that money is handed over - it’s that her story doesn’t even matter, that she is just another…
She did mean the “Big 4" sports, and she’s absolutely right. But the NFL is going to protect all of its “cash cow” players furiously, in order to protect the product on the field.
The #MeToo movement never really hit sports.
It’s even better when you read the credits closely and realize that all of those scenes were stock or otherwise previously-available footage with the dinos added.
My favorite stupid part of the last Jurassic movie was how INGEN created a dinosaur that can kill people on command. All you have to do is point a gun with a laser sight on it, at the person you want it to kill, and the dinosaur will kill the person.
Buddy, of course I am not suggesting that. I’m just laughing at him posing as though that’s something he would consider doing, in the aftermath of this humiliating result. The honest thing would be to say “We desperately need those guys, as everyone who watch the 2019 FIBA World Cup can see.”
And if your fanbase thinks you’re being FORCED to donate to charity, an action that is so outlandish to them they think it can only be performed under duress, you have a garbage fucking fanbase.
A lot more people have had kids than have won a tennis Grand Slam.
