Are you pretending like every driver isn’t going to be blasting the A/C for the most of the year in most places? One of the biggest complaints about driving Postal vehicles and UPS and FedEx vehicles is the absolute dogshit environmental conditions. Every single driver will be bumping the A/C any time the outside

I have no real solution for this and live pretty far south but maybe the answer is in changing the times that things are done, like schools and businesses locally instead of changing time?

The stations will need to buy replacement gas at the now inflated prices. Gas stations aren’t actually super high margin businesses.

Do you think gas stations sell at the price they bought the fuel, or the price they expect the next fill up to cost them, with their expenses and profits added?

First gen Impulse also had a Lotus handling package available, and IMHO looks a LOT better. Those cutoff headlights and awkward rear end on the second gen make for a very weirdly proportioned car.

Yeah...I’d probably go one further: The exhaust stacks are just plain dumb.

Most of those fuel tanks aren’t full of gasoline.

In a perfect world, they’d use the Maverick Hybrid platform. I imagine that was just a gleam in some engineer’s eye when bidding started though.

What I want to know is why they held a Cars and Coffee event in a snowstorm.

so, a bridge that isn’t used for anything other than decoration is being partially disassembled for 1 day at no expense to the taxpayer, and in fact probably have to pay a hefty permit fee on top of the cost of partially disassembling and reassembling the bridge.  given that local labor will do the work, it is a net

I’d guess that the hull of the Queen Mary is every bit as tough as that of a Battleship. This isn’t a cruise ship that plods along through the tranquil Caribbean - it’s an Ocean liner, designed to withstand the worst that the North Atlantic could throw at her at any time of year.

What I learned from this article is chief deputies make too much money.

I don’t think it’s good enough for Marty to take Jennifer up to the lake with.

I love this!

He worked in a body shop in the 80s/90s.

My dad, a GM retiree, told me that a good majority of the cars with Landau roofs in the 90's and early 2000's were installed to hide sheet metal mistakes in the roof panels rather than repairing them or scrapping the car.

I think I would have been mortified to be caught in one of these at one point in my life. Now, as a miserable old fuck, I’d probably relish being the one to kill it for the workers’ sake. Take the free coffee and throw what you were going to pay into the tip box.

Huh. Who knew? Maybe that’s why it’s shutting down.

The black and white Delaware plate is one of my favorite because it’s nice and simple.

Don’t worry, in about ten years or so they’ll pivot to bankrupting retirees as a matter of policy. That is when Gen X will be into retirement age, and that’ll be the time the GOP pivots to “stick it to the olds” to court Mills and Zers, which will probably work; because everyone hates Gen X.
