I got pulled over more frequently in my red 300ZX than I did in a red Tercel or a red Jetta. I used to deliver in a BMW convertible, and I got pulled over a couple of times for DWWIABN until the police figured out I was there for legitimate reasons (in their opinion.)

I mean, my 69 Beetle could go 80 mph, but the acceleration to get there took forever.

Granted not often. But often enough that I no longer buy 2 seater cars.  I am single with no children, I might add.

Yep, was in Stockholm in the early 80s and got to see the Vasa, in the Wasavarvet before it was moved to where it is now.

I think we’re talking current prices here.  I bought plenty of sub 1k cars that were fine say 20 years ago, but I think that ship has sailed.  Cash for clunkers did in a bunch of them, and a round of recession in 2008 combined with Covid price increases, you’re probably talking minimum $2500 now, and you’re going to

I had an early 10's RAV4, and it would have been the exact opposite of what he needs (I’m 6'3" - but evenly proportional torso to legs.) The RAV4 had plenty of headroom (no sunroof) but was tight on the legs.

I looked at them, too.  Then I started doing the range calculations and realized it wouldn’t work for me.

I had a next gen 200SX, and I don’t remember the annoying harpy, I also had a Z31 300ZX and it did.  I unplugged it to shut her up.

I’ll sell you my e46 BMW 330ci convertible - with a hardtop, for the same money right now.  It’s a 5 speed, too.

Overall, I’m going to say the SE needs to have developers stop planning their cities and suburbs and put in a government designed transportation structure than more efficiently flows traffic. Instead, we get new subdivisions that have one entrance/exit onto a 2 lane road and once it fills up the roads get clogged up.

That’s been the new thing in NC, too. More medians, more turning around. Except in some of the most egregious intersections they don’t leave enough road width for cars to turn around. Having to back up to complete your u-turn on a 45 mph road with traffic approaching isn’t fun.

30% off with a 3k cap is only 30% off up to 10k in price.  I think it’s 4k, though, which would make it 30% only up to 13.3k

Nay, my Jeep is Jumboer than David’s.

I’ve found that at stop lights a fun game to play with trucks that are behind you with blinding headlights is to use your power side mirrors to shine the light back into their eyes.

Interestingly, your contact patch size is decided by the PSI in your tires. So if you have you tires set at 35psi, your contact patch is going to be the same size on your particular car no matter what size or shape your tire is. If you have skinny tire, it’s going to be long. If you have wide tires, it’s going to be

That’s why covers are supposed to be on off road lamps - so you can’t do this, as fun as it would be.

I was initially against the Grand Coupe in the low number BMWs, but the 6 series one looks really good (better than a 7), I’m just waiting a decade until I can afford one.

If you hold the key in the door to the lock position, it’ll close the convertible top, and then close the windows.

My 2001 convertible BMW has a switch that lets you lower and raise all 4 windows at the same time!

Stellantis has the same problem lots of companies have, combined with a special one of their own.  They jacked up prices past the point on the supply/demand curve where they get more money, and they canceled all the products people wanted to buy.
