I just checked out Car-Part.com. There are only 19 engines available in the country. Of the 19 listed, Only 1-2 didn’t have a note that they were for parts only, core-only or in need of a rebuild. Apparently you need one from a 90-94 truck or Montero.  So I’m going to have to go ND here just for parts availability.

It was the square Chrysler size radio, but it was larger than DIN, smaller than double DIN.  I think Ford was the domestic manufacturer that actually used a DIN radio.  GM was similar in size to the Chrysler one.

I think you’re confusing 70's and 80's.  I just took a look at the interior for a bunch of 1977 Japanese cars - they all have 2 shaft radios that aren’t DIN.

Except I’m supposed to believe they built 50k cars in 3 days.  That’s 1/2 of all Mustang Mach Es produced (according to the article.)  I’m guessing the year is wrong in the second date.

What’s 70's car had double DIN? I don’t think single DIN even came out until the late 70s.  Most 70's American cars had a 2 shaft radio.

And we are.  We give a big fat tax break to the purchaser.

We all know the ESC Electronic Spark Control badge on 80's GM products is the greatest.

A few cars ago I bought a 95 BMW 325 convertible. I bought it on eBay, and it was in Maryland, I’m in NC. I flew up there to pick it up, and once there the guy offered to sell me a set of 18" wheels and tires for it on top of the eBay price. I knew they would make it ride like crap and they were ugly, too; so I just

I wouldn’t regard the QT as bulletproof, the chain can stretch and then it’s start banging on hard acceleration, which will eventually break something.  The chains were getting hard to find 15 years ago when I replaced the one in my 76 CJ-7.  The good news about the 360 is with some common upgrades (4bbl carb, intake

Since it has a 727 transmission, it has a NP transfer case. Selec-trac just means no full time (Quadra-trac) 4wd option, which was possible with a NP transfer case, but unlike the BW Quadra-trac it would still have a 2wd setting. To clarify because the previous statement is a bit confusing: Selec-trac would have 2wd-4h

Took a east coast road trip in my convertible a few years ago - tried to hit as many famous bridges as possible:

Unless you don’t fit, then get a 3-series with a straight-6 and a manual transmission (I’ve had an e36 and currently have a e46 in that configuration. After the e36 325, I was going to get a Z3, but when I went to look at one I realized I don’t fit in them! So I went and looked at a Z4 - I also don’t fit in it, but

This doesn’t take rocket science to figure out. Lack of virtually any traffic enforcement over the past two years has lead to a certain segment of the population driving like absolute idiots. I mean on a daily basis I see people driving 20-30 over the speed limit weaving in heavy traffic, people blatantly disregarding

As a Dolphins fan, it’s about time our helmet was lifted in victory!

I think the bigger question is why Americans are watching an simulcast of an English sports channel on one of the major American TV networks.

That was one of many reasons I chose it over a Prius.  The other main one was I could get a much newer C-Max for the same price as a Prius.

Yeah, most places I believe. I bought a C-Max from a dealer, it was listed as accident free on Carfax. After I bought it, I realized one of the fenders was stamped with a foreign aftermarket body parts company.  However, the price I got was the best I saw of any car I looked at, and the repair is undetectable (color

Aren’t we both saying the same thing?  I now stick to 6 cylinder BMWs because the V8s and V12 are expensive time bombs.

The Bond one was a 740 gussied up to look like a short 750 (I don’t think they sold a short V12 e38.)

The easiest way to find out would be to see if the film between the 2 layers of glass is discoloring, a common problem with the e38s with the protection package (which is what the ones with the thick glass have.)
