Nope. They stink and, if used improperly, will damage the knife. Use a honing steel and get professionally sharpened twice a year.

The big "W" on the side.
Yes, Walsh and Piccard. If we wanted to get real technical, it's a 3 way tie.
zing!
Awesome! But when Planatary Resources asks for volunteers to check out LV-426, decline.
I would bet more on Cameron actually doing something than a bunch of billionaires looking for a tax shelter. He just got back from the deepest dive in history.
I miss film. Sometimes.
Thanks! The psychology of retail is fascinating. Funny how you can get people to buy based on little things like color choices, lighting, body language and even just getting people to work an area. Activity attracts people like flies.
Abacus? pfft! Hipster fanboy.
You can but the pig would still be walking.
Good point! I kinda like bacon drooping out of my sandwiches like a dog's tounge. Tells me where to start.
Without directly looking at their P&L, I'd venture they do pretty well. Their electrical probably is higher than The Gap but not more that $10-12k/month/store. The largest expense is always payroll. They have a ton of people working at Apple stores and their management team is pretty high end - I've met a few and…
Actually, Sam's Clubs have quite a bit of stock room space (can't say for Costco since I've never been). Take a look next time, they hide it pretty well and could fit an Apple store and a half in them.
K. But it's not baloney. It's an actual measure of a store's performance used in retail analytics. It's one dimension of many but this is like a baseball player hitting .500 for a season and you're not impressed because it leaves out his RBIs. Your bluster is unwarranted.
This is an industry standard metric. It doesn't matter matter if your selling sweaters or iPads or large appliances. It is one of many metrics when comparing retail stores. Taken in isolation it's not telling a complete story - margin dollars would be helpful - but it is impressive.
Yeah, I'd like to see their margin $. Still pretty good, I imagine but it might not loo like such an outlier.
It's an industry standard measure. It's not saying, "Jeeze, they are much better at retail than everyone else." It's just a measure to show exactly what you're saying; they sell a lot of expensive stuff in a small space.
That surprized me, too. Sam's Club as well.
It's an industry standard measure.
These are top line sales so costs are not factored. It is an industry standard "apples-to-apples" measure. Usually it only counts salesfloor but this reporting is "gross" footage, which means stockrooms were included.
