How I think I look:

Sure it isn’t difficult, but it’s premature at best and foolish at worse.

I was an usher and worked the stand. Personally, I liked cleaning up after because I hate dealing with people. Though I did share your experience from time to time, I made up for it by just ducking into a theater for 10 minutes to watch Daredevil for the 12,354th time.

Didn’t know it was a Jewish tradition, but my wife and I unknowingly did that too (got married in Baltimore, so that might explain it). It was suggested by the venue and we really liked the idea. It was great to just take a breather and enjoy the apps and drinks in our own little room.

I was one a little over a decade ago. We kinda had to do the head thing, but I think that was mostly so it didn’t look like we were asleep. Appearances and all.

Former lifeguard here. I have worked at the movies as well, but being a lifeguard pays so much better for doing jack shit. I worked at the pool in my neighborhood and dealt with little shits rarely. It made me lazy and pissed off when small neighborhood children had the NERVE to wait at the gate before the pool…

If you can, hire a wedding coordinator for the day-of. My (now) wife and I did that and it was so very worth it. One of the things you could have them do is make sure you get fed. Our planner had food at our sweetheart’s table ready for us and we didn’t even have to get it ourselves!
