I read through this series a year or two ago. It was really good High Fantasy. I would definitely recommend to fantasy fans

Thanks for warning about IF spoilers. I have seen it now, but before I had, the ending was spoiled for me by people talking about IF and the “snapture”. Knowing the comics.... that was enough right there.

I wrote this in my own post, but then saw this, so replying here now...

The kryptonite issues really irk me. In most other continuities such as a majority of the comics and the cartoons, Superman actually encourages and feels relief if his closest allies have access to kryptonite, because he knows things can happen.

Between this show and Agents of Shield doing its current Graviton arc, “preztling” a person to death has become a lot more popular. (Yeah I remember they sort of did it last season, but the effects are much better both here now Andre on AoS)

While I am sure I am forgetting something even better, the first things that come to mind are Fringe’s “White Tulip” and Stargate SG-1's “Window of Opportunity”

I thought they kinda established that oily bird thing was a visual metaphor for delusion. SO the grown one under the basket probably means Ptonomy at starting to distrust basket guy

Just watched the film and am now scrolling through he comments.... so sorry for replying some half year later, but man, what would a lovecraftian post apocalypse look like? Giant monster carcasses or slumbering monsters who you can’t look upon, and everyone is half squid, but otherwise all is fine and dandy?
