Yeah, I'm the asshole who doesn't think schools should shut down for religious holidays (also, that Christmas has no business being a Federal holiday). If people want to observe their religion, let them make arrangements. (A certain amount of floating holidays per student/person, for instance.)
May I make a small amendment to this? Illinois isn't working to ban them; the ban was signed into law in June and goes gradually into effect:
