Ah gotcha. True.

I has nothing to do with engine location, drivetrain, FWD or RWD. It’s the simple fact that the demand for small two-seaters is dwindling in America.

Seven, forgot the Isuzu Impulse. In short, all 2-door cars with the CRX being the only two-seater. Two-seaters are dying, manual transmissions are dying. Coupes will live on but in smaller numbers because the demand is slowing even with the youth of America.

No flaming. I have two teenagers @ 19 and 17 respectively. When it came time for automobile selection they both wanted sport sedans. The older got a used Acura TL and the younger a used VW CC. Meanwhile, my first six cars were a VW rabbit, Dodge Colt, BMW 320i, Dodge Raider, Honda CRX, and Honda Civic hatchback. I

It ain’t happening. Engine location be damned, let’s look at the lowest price two-seaters available in the US.  Subaru BRZ, Toyota FRS, Mazda MX-5 (Miata) and Fiat 124.  Those models combined sold fewer than 20,000 units in 2019. That alone is why you’ll never see another MR2,

Trump seriously has some screwed up priorities. If I were the incoming President, I would take the oath of office and my first official act as POTUS would be to repaint the damn thing.

No, but I may have been inspired by someone with similar characteristics.

Have you ever milked a cat? Similar yet different.

Otter Jizz aside, I learned long ago that zip ties, duct tape, WD-40, an adjustable wrench and a regular and phillips screwdriver will fix 90% of things the average homeowner will face in their lifetime.

This is the correct answer.

Exactly the reason to spec one out to your liking and wait for it to be built. No sense in paying for what you don’t want. I have no plans to ever buy a new vehicle again, but if there was something that was going to change my mind on that, I’d likely have it built exactly for me.

I suppose that would depend on whether or not there were any notable changes from the 2019 to 2020 models on the vehicles that you were cross shopping. Assuming there aren’t any, i’m guessing the allure of a “new” 2019 at a lower price point than a “new”2020 will appeal to some.

Exactly, $26k for a white one with steelys

You are spot on about the $$ they make on the repairs, but the DoD needs to either a) nut up and stop this practice or 2) delete the maintenance AFSCs/MOS from their ranks. It’s not fair to the taxpayers to have idle bodies sitting around and even more unfair for the men and women who enlist into these positions to

Take it one step further...when the DoD puts it out for bid, tell all prospective vendors that if their bid doesn’t give military mechanics the ability to fix shit, then don’t submit a bid. Christ, when I was in the Air Force, I was assigned to the 62nd Fighter Squadron at MacDill AFB from ‘91 to ‘93 before the unit

I’m with ya. I’d pay a lofty sum to have that truck today

They just need to bring this back. I learned how to drive in this truck. Stiffest clutch I ever met.

Not to mention that he might not have a garage or location to do the repair work and that’s assuming he has the skill set and tools.

I kinda like the VW Beetle version.
