Read the last paragraph. VFA-147 does not become operational until 2021. This article is 4 days old. https://thediplomat.com/2019/12/us-navy-christens-second-ford-class-carrier-john-f-kennedy/
Keyword being “eventually”. They won’t be an “operational aircraft” for the Navy until 2021.
I saw it as a modern interpretation of the SR-71.
Not if your land based. F4U was designed for aircraft carrier use and short-range missions. P-51 designed for long range missions. If you a living on land, the P-51 is the more practical aircraft.
Not to mention that the Navy doesn’t fly the F-35. The Air Force does.
Similar. I fly, on average around 50 - 75K miles per year for the past 25 years. Out of the blue around 15 years ago, I started getting really anxious during takeoffs. After 4 or 5 flights of it not going away I got put on xanax to combat the takeoff anxiety.

It was an attractive vehicle for sure, but I wasn’t really…
The sales portion of the auto industry needs a massive overhaul. How can dealers and salespeople expect to behave as they have in the past with so much information available via the internet. Automotive is the only retail element I can think of that has this archaic business model. You don’t think the A/C guy coming…
GM is having a tough enough time moving the Camaro so they wouldn’t bother trying to revive the Grand National. There are decent originals that can be had for under 20K.
Why are the cameraman and boom guy there?
By a factor of 20 at least.
There is still an active alpine slide at Attitash Ski Resort in Conway, New Hampshire. Busted my ass on it a couple of years ago...twice. Still have scars from the epic road rash.
One of these
I gotta be honest, I’m not a Camry guy, the the profile shot used in the header image for the story is quite sexy. I honestly didn’t know what make of vehicle it was.

Off to the bar....
