I would have been perfectly fine going through life not having seen that. But now that I have, I will forever hate you. I don’t know you, never met you, but I hate you.

I have a 2003 GMC Yukon (last new vehicle I have, or will ever, purchase). 14 years and 95,000 miles and it has been as low maintenance as one could hope for. I hope to be driving it when it hits 200K in another 15 - 18 years.
I’m so stealing that second line.
Edd and Mike are the perfection combination of Ying and Yang. Mike, the exuberant and sometimes overly-enthusiastic deal maker and Edd, the chill guy who gets on with the task at hand regardless of make, model, style, age and appeal (or lack thereof) of any car Mike bestows upon him. Mercedes, Cobra replicas, old…
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Just kidding David, I hope you are successful in each and every project to have the courage to take on.
I can’t figure out why any 4-star recruit (other than basketball) would pick Duke from that list?
It’s stories like this that have convinced me to never step foot in a dealership again or to pay cash. I haven’t been to a car dealership since 2003 (have purchased many vehicles from private sellers since) and I can’t even begin to image what would happen to my blood pressure. It’s a shame that these types of…
Solid analysis. I can totally get behind your view on it. Thanks for the response to my comment.
I’m a car guy. I’m a Desert Storm vet. I don’t have PTSD but I do suffer from depression and anxiety. I think you are reading into it a bit too much or maybe you are a natural cynic. It’s nothing more that a story about a guy who found a little solace, joy and relaxation in a car build being shared on a car site. …

While I don’t agree with the actions of the community (ie. taking it apart and billing him for it), if you can afford to own a plane, you should be able to afford to store it at a proper facility. You don’t buy a boat, RV or other “recreational style vehicle” if you can’t afford the storage and fuel.

Now, if you can get it to this point, you’ll have something.
I just soiled myself. That is stunning.
Don’t feel bad, I did exactly the same thing. In fact, it wasn’t until I read your post did I see the other two hoops. I think that makes me dumber than you
no, but three lefts do, home slice
Exactly, and I think that is reasonable. Some people’s level of reasonable is different, but I just think some folks want their pound of flesh out of VW’s hide while trying to make a few extra bucks to soften the blow on the $$ side of it.
Obviously the opinion of someone not directly affected by the situation. When you consider the scope of the fraud, the inconvenience experience by those affected, the financial loss (nobody is making money on this buyback), etc. they have every right to be a little pissed off and want to “stick it to the man.” Sure,…
