I bought a used 2012 LS 460L RWD with all the extra features for dirt cheap with under 100k miles. I’ve never owned or wanted to own a “luxury” vehicle before, but I have to carry family around so the S2000 and such won’t cut it. It’s pretty nice and makes me want to look at a Lexus in the future.

I’m starring this so hard.

I support equal rights for everyone.

You wrote pretty much my exact thoughts.

I got a fully-loaded LS460L with under 100k miles for $10k. Best cheap car I’ve ever bought ;)

Haha, I suggested the same thing in another comment. I’ve *never* been a luxury car person, but in an effort to buy something practical for a family and able to quickly get to 140kmh while being reliable -- I ended up with a used LS460L. Being in an oil-rich country, the fuel costs are no big deal and I was able to

I came to suggest a Lexus. I don’t know if it’s possible to find a luxury sedan that *doesn’t* depreciate more than $10k in 5 years, though. I bought a fully-equipped LS460L with under 100k miles for $10k. It’s quiet. It’s smooth. It’s comfortable. It has the 14 or 15 speaker premium audio. It has enough power from

He probably suspects the space lasers MTG has talked about.

Bikes are a bit more powerful, tires grip better, brakes stop better, they ride faster, etc. I can understand the sentiment of the “old days” when it was all up to the rider, but I’m not convinced it’s any easier to ride now. Losing traction still isn’t particularly optimal and I doubt riders will win many races

Maybe 6% if you ignore local sales taxes. I pay over 9%. Still less than much of Europe, but noticeably more than 6%.

Marc domination hasn’t existed in over a year and a half. I’m a fan of his but will be the first to admit it can get boring watching him 5+ seconds ahead of 2nd doing a leisurely Sunday stroll around the track. Fortunately, the commentators seem acutely aware that this is boring and they focus on the “fight for 2nd.”

As a counter-point, any MotoGP fan probably already knows about Marc’s amazing comeback. I prefer articles that provide information I don’t already have, and this article accomplished that. Not disagreeing that it was a newsworthy event, but countless articles have already covered the topic.

Also as a parent, I agree that constructive criticism can be beneficial to the development of our youth. It’s not only beneficial in pointing where they can make improvements, but in demonstrating effective ways of providing feedback.

You say you care about air quality and climate change, yet you exhale co2?!!?

First thing I noticed. Simple mistake.

“Could we please not ruin my escape from the cold, harsh world by talking about the cold, harsh world people can’t escape?”

The crash looked terrible but with the safety improvements over the years I never expected news like this.

If you don’t want to quit working, don’t quit working. <shrug> Having enough money doesn’t mean one should or shouldn’t do anything. Fortunately we can all determine what we value. A rapidly depreciating asset just isn’t something I have an interest in. You do you.

Yes, that’s true. I have kids and like them enough to leave money for them. In the meantime I want to continue dumping money into things that return some until I can comfortably quit working and spend my time trying to figure out what to do with it as opposed to spending it on rapidly depreciating assets. Anyway, I

Will take your word for it. No personal interest in German cars or the Genesis, and no interest in paying for a new luxury car (Japanese, German, or Korean) despite the ability to. They all depreciate rather quickly.
