Coincidentally, as soon as I go home on my vacation from Iraq next month -- I’ll be buying a Grom ;)

Yup, I feel the same way. I have three Honda bikes and four Honda vehicles at home. The bikes, in my honest opinion, are starting to fall behind. It looks like the new CBR1000RR made good strides in catching up, but they aren’t as easy of a choice as I felt they used to be. Here’s to hoping for the rumored

Honda has always done pretty great manual transmissions/shifters in their “sports” cars. At the moment, the shifter/transmission in my 2008 S2000 is still the best I’ve laid my hands upon. My CRX Si with an LS/VTEC swap and CTR transmission is a close second.

Beyond the Honda thing now, aside from their motorcycles,

Nah, I still don’t appreciate what Texas dad is doing. It’s still irresponsible.

Was in Kabul for a couple years. Pretty sure that the only dogs I heard barking were working dogs. As someone that lives in the country when stateside, it was odd not hearing any barking in a densely populated city.

I don’t try it on my S2000 because I’m scared. Fortunately I only got caught in rain once while the top was down. Instead of the shame of pulling over on a busy highway to put it up, I just drove faster instead. I stayed dry. The red leather seats got a little damp, but no harm was done. I disagree it’s irrational. This article straight-up pissed me off. I can only hope the perps endure even more torment than what they put this kid through.

Glad someone can say it.

Very well-written article, but one I wish didn’t need to be written. Thanks for the read.

I completely understand the difference between consumer engine and cutting-edge race engine as far as longevity. It just seems like Honda is having far more engine issues than others — but I admit my ignorance on the sport and understand that Honda’s failures may just be more publicized.

Terrible loss. My thoughts are with him and his family.

I understand that much. I’ve built a few engines, although obviously not to anywhere near the same degree.

MotoGP?

Why does nobody else seem to have as many issues?

Honda has had a pretty good record for “reliable engines.” If everyone’s engines were failing as often — which they may be and my opinion is just skewed by

Honda is known for reliability and quality engines, why is this not the case in these motorsports?

Holy... Looks like he maybe slipped trying to change sides?

Glad he’s OK.

Never heard it, but always been a huge Cornell fan. That voice...

Been in the middle east for the last four years so they’ve been relaxing in the garage. Now I cruise Iraq in a weird Nissan van or Toyota Hilux at a max speed of 40kph enforced by Danish MPs.

Del Sol - hydroplaned and hit a utility-pole guidewire just off the side of the road
CRX - Two dump trucks pulled out from side-road onto 65mph highway, from the left, and stayed in the left lane. As I was about even with the rear bumper of the leading dump truck, it decided to move into the right lane. There was not
