I have absolutely no knowledge of the “gearchange” on this era of Honda, but I’ve been quite pleased with their manuals through the 90s+. The one in the S2000 is about the best I’ve ever used, although I wouldn’t expect the one in this Civic to be ANYTHING near it.

I'm a big RHCP fan, probably moreso than STP, but would have still loved to see both perform.

Yes, new materials will have to be acquired. The same will be true if people stick with gas-powered vehicles, so it's irrelevant. Nothing you said is a reason to not start or work towards replacing ICE with electricity.

My home’s power is sourced from a nuclear plant. Eventually I’ll equip it with some sweet solar and battery power. So, while you’re right in some cases, it doesn’t cover every case.

It’s not too bad. You get used to it and it makes you more appreciative of being in the states. Never go to the embassy, though — it will piss you off when they whine about how rough it is while sitting on their apartment balcony overlooking the pool and manicured lawns :P Then I walk back to my shipping container...

Nice! I wouldn’t say I travel “the world” a lot. I’ve been in the middle east the past couple years. So travel in theater is primarily stripped-down military cargo planes, rotaries, and the occasional small fixed-wing at my previous location. R&R is via commercial.

Maybe there’s some truth to what you said, but I'm a fan of "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" and haven't heard it in quite a while. Thanks for the reminder.

I used to work at LG Electronics near the airport and always enjoyed watching the huge cargo planes coming in. My current job has given me the opportunity to travel in and see countless more Cxx planes, and they are impressive.

That's why I clicked the article. I was hoping to see it was in Huntsville again.

I just have a relatively weak S2000 and I've only turned off TC in empty parking lots and once in a large intersection in the middle of a night — where I promptly spun the car. Otherwise, yes, it stays on and has saved my ass on a few occasions.

I think what he was trying to say was that dollar-for-dollar, a bike will be much more affordable than a car that is as exciting. That’s how I read it, but when I read your comment I also understand the confusion. The OP’s wording wasn’t the best...

But yes, the money I spent on a brand new supersport has made my other

With this car, I would wear a suit, carry a briefcase, and act very adult-like. The illusion would likely fall apart once I get behind the wheel.

I hear a lot of people talk about how great the Veyron is, and how ugly the new NSX is... I'm QUITE fond of the new NSX and have never, ever found the Veyron attractive. Sure, the power and status is impressive, but I'd rather spend the money on a C7 Z07 and a couple massive turbos... The Chiron, in my eyes, is

Yup! That’s the only thing about this article I do differently. I do use the vacuum. Here’s how I maximize my vacuum quarters:

I've always been impressed with the meals. It's not quite the same as eating at home, but it's definitely nothing anyone should complain about. I missed out yesterday, as the line was extremely long the three times I checked. Never ran into that before.

For a while, we were eating MREs. We would pick up our daily supply in the morning. I went to get mine, walked back with them, and then realized they were all the creamy pork sausage. Blech. I was a big fan of the Mexican menus...

Yeah, I've looked at the Yuminashi and Full Blown Motorsports big bore kits. It's just hard to justify spending almost the cost of the toy on what amounts to a toy :) Turbo kits, too. It's tempting.

The frame, perhaps unreasonably, scares me a little... I just imagine something sliding across or getting caught in it during an accident, but I’m sure it’s removable.

That's what I'm thinking. The pilot is still at fault since I believe the pilots are supposed to limit flying over the base as much as possible. US military and contracted pilots always seem to go around, whereas some others were flying directly over the base...I haven't seen it again since the incident. It could have

A British Puma also went down at HQRS after clipping an aerostat cable recently, killing 5 — two Americans, two British, and I feel bad but I forget the nationality of the 5th... Wasn't training, but still a loss of US airmen.

I was sitting peacefully in my office when I heard a loud crunch followed by lots of yelling.
