This is a big problem in nearly all experiments done, it's called the Hawthorne Effect. Not named after the moist towelettes. The effect can completely invalidate all the results of the test, and to be honest: this experiment seems quite riddled with the problem.

Could be, though I consume vast amounts of fast food against better knowledge yet can prove I'm quite intelligent. I don't understand it either.

Same here, I tried it out considering my girlfriend is a huge Stephen King fan (I really like him too) and loved the book, but after six or seven episodes we called it quits. We were just so bored we even forgot that we were watching it during an episode, interesting experience that was.

You can only edit your post within a certain timeframe after posting, sadly. Normally you do it by clicking the arrow next to your post (above 'reply') and selecting it from the dropdown menu. And no hard feelings, of course :)

I'm as enthusiastic as you are, but that's quite a spoiler, my man.

People still watch Under The Dome? I honestly thought it was cancelled or something, never heard anybody talking positive about it.

But that's a special event, right? I know they're much more frequent in the US than here (Netherlands) though, and if they're here it's always a marathon (hella expensive) or midnight premiere (either invite-only or VIP, or in rare cases public though just a bit more expensive).

In this context, "only" is okay to use. Also, did I mention that we have to wait several months for movies to come out here, even though they only require subtitling since we don't do dubbing? Most of the time good quality rips are already available before the movie's in theatres here, it's maddening.

Christ, you guys are lucky. Tickets start here around €8,- (around $11), and that's if you don't want to see it in an inferior cinema (€6,-) or 3D / IMAX version (anywhere between €10,- and €14,-). I have a subscription card for a big cinema chain, which runs for €22,50 for 'normal' and €26,- for Gold (no extra costs

I never understood these gifs. They don't finish, aren't accurate with the words spoken, whatever - inaccurate. Why the popularity?

Tried the new Berserk movies yet? If you like depressing, you'll love that. The main character gets shat on from cradle to the grave, to say the least.

I care to read about a Poké speedrun (I mean, an hour and chance is impressive!), yet I did not play Pokeymans since Pearl. Here's the kicker: because of IV's and the rabidness with which some hardcore players pursue it. A game about pure imagination, reduced to maths and setting fun aside. Sad, really. I can't even

Yup, except this one is very, very recent. You have a point of course, but so do I. It's mostly the putting-the-spoiler-in-the-first-sentence thing, visually distracting (can't stop myself reading the first sentence while scanning pages). But whatever, you're right, no harm done.

Thanks for the spoiler, brother. Good thing I don't have to play the remaster now, saves me a few bucks.

Seriously though, not cool.

Because everyone does something that makes it okay? Weakest argument in the book, man. As a non-native speaker even I am horrified by how people butcher the English language sometimes, with "could of" and related mistakes at the front of the list. I mean, it doesn't even make any sense, at all. The there/their/they're

Hmmmmyeah. Itagaki, my man, I know being a bit strange is kinda your thing, but ah... Why the hell did you show this? It looks like a last-gen Wii game, lacking all the polish you are known for (be it in gameplay like in NG, or graphics like in DoA). You eccentric man, you.

Oh hey, I agree. Even if he actually was white, it would only enforce the evil-factor. Talk about a manufactured issue man, especially when people started yelling that 'Ubisoft isn't talking about this, this makes it worse!'. My mom always told me not to argue with idiots, I'm guessing Ubi was taught the same.

You've missed part of the outrage then, too: the (ridiculous) assumption was that the bad guy is white and was seemingly oppressing the local people of the region. Which, I agree, is what a bad guy does, but that's just me.

No.

Jesus, Jesus... How can you NOT know this? I'm not one for the tinfoil hats, but this was in worldwide news multiple times. What rock did you live under?
