I think you’re overcomplicationg things here. There’s no point speculating on how many people who play Dota don’t have a phone. Valve have bona fide economists and know EXACTLY how many people have phones, and how those figures relate to the success of their game and the financial stability of the company.

dota losing the 5 - 10% of its user base that don’t own phones and therefore are unlikely to make monetary transactions of the shop don’t mean shit to valve.

The problem is people put so much importance on winning EVERY game they’re never willing to risk a loss by experimenting. I guarantee that if this guy respectfully asked to try something new in a game, his teammates would never let him.

What a strange comment. Snyder was pretty hands on with the story being told here. Plus directors can pull scripts into shape if they don’t work in film. I think it’s generally lame and shows a lack of imagination to base aliens on real animals and their behaviour. I'm guessing there's some kind of lore behind it -but it's still just designers not being bothered to think of something new.
